@@merimac_1318 You are partly correct. I will make a simple argument. With 60 fps if you 360 in a game and with the same 60 hz monitor you do a 360 with lets say 120 capped fps, you will see a difference. It is the latency difference. I am not saying you will notice every frame but rather your movements will be much more connected to your hand eye coordination. But of course the law of diminishing return happens and 460 fps and 1000 fps will have virtually no difference. So you see on moderately competitive level of gaming, the fps matters alot, more so than the sensitivity of your mouse and your sitting angle. I can tell the difference between a 60 hz and a 240 hz monitor.

doesn't matter, 480 fps is still visible on 60fps screens, of course its like 10 times softer but its definitely different from a 60 fps game being recorded. Believe it or not 480fps gameplay recorded on 60 or rather transformed into 60 is noticeably smoother just not in a good way
@jas_bataille

With all due respect... it doesn't quite work like that. Yes, your screen as a refresh-rate of 60Hz and the video has been rendered at 60fps, but you're watching a video, not playing a game. The video already been rendered, it's not real-time. Therefore, it doesn't really matters what refresh-rate your screen is at, or what the base timeline fps of your render : the computer already rendered all the frames. High refresh-rate only matter in gaming really because, if you want to see over 60fps in *real-time*, then obviously yes, you need a higher refresh-rate on your screen and a higher frame rate. The 60fps is what the timeline was rendered at. Meaning : if you have a 24fps timeline and import 60fps, it will become slow-motion (all filmmakers on KZitem overdo this). If you import 200+ frames on the same timeline, it will become pretty darn slow (think The Matrix effects). If you import something like 2000fps on a 24-30 fps timeline, you get super-slow-motion (think documentaries about weapons with slow-mo bullets). Import 2000fps on a 2000fps timeline and... you get the same as if you filmed in 24 fps lmao However, since this is a video-game, we're watching a real-time render, where you need more frame to create motion blur between them without skipping movement. So, it works in reverse, as far as I understand. Pretty cool!

Quick note that needs to be said : On cod4 pc, it's possible to replay clips that you recorded through a theater mode (demos). And like other call of dutys, theater mode is far from accurate (player position, gun animation ect..) That's the reason why this clip looks fishy. I almost didn't upload it for that specific reason. So no, this isn't live recording and no the hitbox isn't as broken as it looks here. Hope you understand :) Also, a video can still look like 480 fps even if it's rendered in 60 fps. 480 fps adds this natural motion blur that looks awesome for me. But some people won't see much difference. I recommend you to watch this video in 1080p or 1440p so the 480 fps will be more visible. By the way, this clip has been recorded in a custom sniper server. This server is mostly populated in december and january. So if you are interested : here is the ip : 178.33.157.21:28961 and the discord : discord.gg/43f8pcGjpc I also opened my own discord server : discord.gg/f3bs2d3x Come if you wanna talk with me and other members of the community :)

What your watching can’t possibly be over 60FPS because KZitem has a refresh rate of 60Hz. Which means no matter what you’ll only ever see a max of 60FPS. You’ve probably never been crazy about FPS because if the game you’re playing is well over 60FPS you aren’t going to actually see that for real unless your monitor has a high refresh rate. So say your game is running at 144FPS and you have a monitor with a refresh rate of 144Hz you’re actually going to see that. But if you have a 60Hz monitor that 144FPS is going to look like 60 FPS and you won’t see the difference

Wanna know the crazy part? You're watching this at 60 fps. KZitem compresses video to 60FPS. Even if it was 480 fps you wouldn't be able to see it. The highest refreshrate monitor is 360hz at $700 while most are 60hz. But theres a rumor that a 460hz monitor is being worked on

@@Celatra No, it can't display any more. There are unstable and stable fps and this looks to be a more stable fps. It's the motion blur making it all look "nice", you can still see it in 480p. You can have stable and unstable fps regardless of number. A recent example would be Halo Infinite without updating GPU drivers. Had 48fps which I know is smooth, but it wasn't a stable 48, I could barely hit anything. When I couldn't get 60fps in games, most likely when I had the 750Ti, I used to limit it to 48fps and it had a similar look to 60fps, so I know it should be smooth. I updated and it was all stable after that, shame Halo Infinite uses so much disk read, quick way to burn out a drive I guess. As much as it uses in maybe 3 hours seems to be as much as the system uses in 3-10 days depending on system activity, but I have no knowledge there so maybe disk read isn't as important., I'm not chancing it.

This explains a lot about why cod always felt strange to me. You could always tell that the game theoretically was capable of looking incredibly smooth to this almost uncomfortably hyper-smooth level, but that was probably more so to make the most of the restrictions of the consoles of the time. I'm curious if even the most current next gen consoles could recreate this clip to even a major fraction of the quality.
@example795
2 жыл бұрын
answer: no. new gen consoles will probably render cod in 60fps, more rarely 120fps. the video you watched is upscaled, has motion blur and his pc is able to put out nearly 500fps. if you have the money, ditch consoles and never buy one again. pc gaming is superior in every single aspect.

@@xx_andrew3374 yeah, i mean i get that you can feel the smooth controls of high fps even if your monitor has relatively low fps, but honestly what i think it comes down to is that not half the comment section seeing what you're seeing. Its probably because people played this on a ps3 level system when it came out and now its higher resolution and 60 fps.
