Looks like the charges were typical Chicago politician behavior. In his case a really wide variety of kickback schemes to enrich himself in exchange for support/deals/etc.

Funny how they never showed the Jail , Chicagos jail is situated around here in a Latino area few more years 5 to 10 it will be gentrified completely they got pilsen their trying lil village . How is this sort of a problem they move into our neighborhoods eventually we have to move either to the black or more middle class white (jefferson park example) this sometimes causing tension .

Pilsen and Chinatown are gentrifying because they're right next to the growing south loop and west loop (and greater downtown). They're also connected to the trains and close to a lot of colleges. There's destinations like the Mexican art museum, Thalia Hall, Chinatown Square, Ping Tom Park, etc. and it's no question as to why those areas are being gentrified rapidly. Little Village has a lot more crime and gang problems and as great as the 26th street mall is, it's not enough to cause gentrification in the whole areas which is also a lot bigger than Pilsen. Add to that the growing pressure of migrants being sent out to there to be swept under the rug and I just don't see it happening
