I have a 4g63t I bought... previous owner said tensioner broke on start up... I pulled plugs and scope said valves hit. I am thinking I might try to machine head and reinstall... what do you think if everything else checks out. I have 16 cars and it gets tough to rebuild and make everyone perfect

That's unfortunate. But as long as you remove the head and have it all checked out, it should be fine. I have seen a good amount of motors that jump and end up being just a bent valve . I would just stress using OEM timing components. I've always had great luck with them. Keep me posted.

@Vega Tuned I will use stock timing components. Doing my homework now and was going to give up on car, but I am seeing so many nice ones, it has helped me out to get my feelings back for her

How much torque ,psi ,and power can those headstuds can handle ?

I can only speak from my experience. I've ran these on my 4g63 with a fp 3052 @ 28psi for 13+ years. 460hp 480tq. Hope this helps. I would recommend l19 or better for applications above 28psi.

Hai bro..whats your opinion when upgred on cylinder head 4g63 1st gen with a big valve 1mm intake n exhaust with the high lift cams..?
@VegaTuned
23 күн бұрын
It all depends on the setup. I was always told 1mm over isn't needed unless you are making over 650hp+. There are a few guys that claim .5mm is perfect. Velocity plays a big part in getting a dialed in setup. I tend to lean on the stock valve size myself with a good valve job.

@@VegaTuned ..ohh i mean i wana build all motor engine on 4g63 1st gen..so im just planing.. i knew if i put the std valve with high lift cam should be no problem..but if i change its to biger valve..like a honda motor b sirie they cant used the big valve with high lift cams rite?

@@dsmjaime I totally understand where you are coming from. Just take your time. You can do it! It's all about the prep with these cars. Use the quality oem part the majority of the time. And follow the instructions especially torque specs and sequence. If you do that you have the best shot at it coming out perfect.
