Guiyang, referred to as "Zhu", also known as Lincheng and Zhucheng, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province, a provincial capital, and a Type I large city. Guiyang was originally a frontier ethnic area. From the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period to the early Han Dynasty, the Guiyang area belonged to Gu Yelang. Zangcang County was established in the Han Dynasty, Guiyang was the seat of Zangcang County, and Guiyang Mansion was established in the Ming Dynasty. In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Guiyang County was established. In the fourth year of the Republic of China (1915), Guiyang County was abolished in the 30th year of the Republic of China (1941), and Guiyang City was established with the urban area and suburbs of Guiyang.
