Drone footage of Letchworth State Park on October 8, 2016. In the video you can see the work that the park is doing on the new train bridge. The original bridge was built in 1864, then rebuilt in 1875 after a fire that destroyed the entire structure. The state is currently working to rebuild the nearly 150 year old bridge due to the fact that structural flaws require trains to travel a maximum of 10mph over the bridge. This is one of the most major railroad bottlenecks in all of NY. At the beginning of the video you will notice a train crawling along the old bridge.
Unfortunately due to the warm fall weather in the Northeast, the fall foliage is not at peak in this video.
Music by Dexter Britain.
