Yet another stellar vid! Confession time.. I believe years ago, I came across your Anchorage flight vid which I fell instantly in love with the beautiful landscape and convinced myself that I *MUST* visit Alaska at least once. Then I caught your "Milk Run" vids, and a few others, and that "once" must be multiplied by 2,3,4 or more times. Seriously, the Alaskan Travel Industry should like partner with you since at least this Texan 🤠is seriously making plans to add some Alaska in my travel plans - all thanks to these videos. Such awesome beauty. Thanks for posting!

This is breathtaking. I was in these two towns on cruises and feel ripped off by not seeing it from this vantage point. @@sla31Fantastic, thanks! Due to the state of our planet and the climate, we all may be wise to start looking for property to buy in the Arctic and Antarctic! I’m lucky to live in San Francisco where it almost never gets above 70. While the rest of the country has been broiling, it’s been 63 for the past few weeks. Stay well and keep on flying. @@danielgloverpiano7693 oh I hear that. I call Southeast Kansas home. Near the Missouri border, on the small 13 mile stretch of Route 66 that runs through Kansas. Kansas has the shortest stretch of Route 66, fun fact. I’ve lived there Nos for 26 years and this summer has been unbelievable. Worst summer I’ve ever had here. Don’t get me wrong, they’re always hot, but this year has been miserable. We’re currently in the middle of a 20+ day streak of 100+ temps. Some days getting up to 108 and 110 with feels like theme near 118. And on top of that we haven’t had any measurable rain in almost 2 months. I have family members who farm and they are struggling. Their wheat burned up, the corn grew but with no ears. When corn doesn’t get enough water, from what I’m told, what little it does produce becomes toxic and they can’t even feed it to cattle, and now their soy beans are suffering the Same fate as the wheat. And most fields around here aren’t irrigated at all because we typically get plenty of rain. It’s certainly bad for the farmers but also won’t do food inflation, which is already high, any favors. It’s a rough year for sure. Anyway, thanks again my friend.

We are flying from Seattle to Juneau in a few months and the airline moved us to Flight 67 after a schedule change. We've been considering switching to the later direct flight to avoid being stuck on the plane for over 5 hours, but your videos are starting to convince me that would be a mistake because of all the scenery we'd miss. Even if it does mean I'd likely ruin my lifelong streak of never once using an airplane lavatory. :)

Great fly! Have you heard pilots and unions from Sweden, Denmark, and Norway is striking against SAS for 13 days now after the deal over the rescue on July 4 was collapsed? They already made some progress. The strike caused 2,550 SAS flight cancellations. This strike was similar to Delta that I motioned before.
@sla31
2 жыл бұрын
Except Delta pilots didn't strike. Like I mentioned before, they called it a strike, but it was really picketing. It's illegal for transportation workers in the US to "strike" because their jobs are considered essential as being critical to the national infrastructure. So, whereas SAS pilot are actually striking and causing chaos, Delta pilots just used to word to make people think it was going to cause chaos. But yes, I did hear that. Thankfully I flew around Europe earlier in the year haha.

Hi Ben, I went to Alaska on two cruises. The most remote place we went was Kodiak island. You would be surprised what was there. They had a Walmart, liquor store, and. McDonald’s which sold salmon nuggets. They were delicious and unique. It’s not as desolate as you would think and these small towns have airports, whereas a similar sized town in the lower 48 wouldn’t. I lived in the Virgin Islands for a year and hear you regarding being isolated, though. It does feel a bit like a prison when you live there. I had to fly to New York once a month for my cultural fix. It’s definitely something that isn’t for everyone and takes adjusting.
