What really bothers me are the guys that play with the zoom button. I want to take their zoom button and stick it up their nose 😆 Skylite Prods never does that.

Terrific as usual. I don't know exactly what it is about Embraer planes but to my ear they have the best roar and thrust reverser sounds of any. For this flight the roar was so relaxing I feel asleep about 10 minutes in and woke up just in time to catch the final few minutes. Nice!

YES Yes that's for sure, Thank you for keeping your video's in real time recording, speed up effects just spoils the whole video, AND using full aperture of your phone makes viewing so much more enjoyable. instead of using I think whats called compressed shorts where the view is narrow and the wide view is blurred out. You do such a great job in filming. Keep up the awesome job. It's a real pleasure flying with you...

I had the pleasure to fly only one time with this type. That was way back in 2004 from Berlin to Zürich with Swiss. I used to sit in the first row on the single seat. Short 1 hour flight trough the summer heat to catch the last MD 11 flight operated by Swiss to Bangkok.

Great fly! Does your home state have Carl's Jr., Hardee's, or both? Here in Tennessee we have Hardee's. Also I'm in the hotel waiting for my room after I landed SNA at time of writing this comment.

How was it flying on those regional charters? I’m flying out of Colorado Springs on American Eagle…skywest, whatever they’re calling themselves now
@sla31
Жыл бұрын
It's pretty much exactly the same as flying on the mainline. The airlines contract with these carriers and they have to adhere to certain standards. They're all still American Eagle, it's just who operates the flight that changes. So, American Eagle (Operated by SkyWest Airlines) or American Eagle (Operated by Envoy Air). With the exception of the planes being smaller, they're pretty much going to be the same thing as you get on their mainline counterpart.

1:23:00 Those are some of the steepest flaps I've ever seen. Being the type of jet that it is maybe it was designed to access short runways. But I can't tell if it has leading edge slats, or droops as the British would say.
@JoeDFWAviation
Жыл бұрын
It doesn’t have slats.
@austindarrenor
Жыл бұрын
@@JoeDFWAviation Maybe the big steep flaps were to make up for no slats. And I noticed only one air brake on the wing on touchdown. I guess that eliminates short runways.
@sla31
Жыл бұрын
Yeah as DFWavgeek521 mentioned, they do not have slats. They do have another speed brake tool. You just can't see it in the video. It's really close to the fuselage. I'm not sure if the very high angle on the flaps helps make up for not having slats or not to be honest. It is cool to see huge flaps like this though!
@austindarrenor
Жыл бұрын
@@sla31 I'd have to look it up but maybe it's possible for an airline to order this Embraer with slats and extra air brakes if they plan on using short runways. With those big momma flaps it could land on somebody's driveway. 😎

Well, darn, I keep hoping to see Ree Drummond's Ranch when you fly in and out of TUL. I had to connect thru IAH to get to Belize. I did a red-eye flight to IAH from SEA, and I had the unhappy privilege of being showered with beer on my flight. These 3 guys sitting across from me, all about 20 or so, didn't take into account things like opening a can of beer and air pressure onboard an aircraft. I had to cope with having beer all over my hair for the rest of the flight and when I got off at IAH, I headed immediately to the men's room, put my head in one of the sinks and shampooed my hair. The moment I saw those 3 guys walk on the plane, I KNEW they were going to be trouble, and I was right. Why the flight crew served beer to these guys in the first place was beyond me. Needless to say, the flight attendant was very unhappy about the big mess these guys made and so was I. I was sleeping and then, was awakened by a shower of beer. My vacation in Belize (November 2003) was a lot of fun, very enjoyable. I stayed in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. I did the Mayan Temple tour on the mainland and was the one and only person on my tour group who was willing to hike up to the top of temple. The view was a huge thrill. There were a couple of locals up there with me and they were as excited about the view and scenery as I was. I chatted with them. They would tell me about Belize and I would tell them about the Pacific Northwest. The rest of my large tour group had no idea of what they were missing.
