N559AS, great liveries on that plane. May I ask how do you hold your phone to have no vibration transmitted to the camera, do you keep it a little bit away from the window?
@sla31
18 күн бұрын
Yes, the camera has to be isolated away from the plane completely. This is why I hold the camera by hand and don't use any type of mount. There's no way to mount it anywhere while also keeping the camera isolated away rom the plane. The only way to avoid vibration transfer is to make sure the camera isn't touching any part of the plane.

I know this isn't a MAX, but after all the $%!+ talk I engaged in about the airplane variety, I flew on one recently from PHX-LAX, and like a really good drug, I'm addicted now and want to fly on another one and another one, which could become a really expensive habit. I just hope that moving forward, that the airplane is safe now.

75 miles? That’s quite a tiny puddle to jump.
@sla31

Yes, this flight was part of one of Alaska Airlines' famous "milk run" flights. The milk runs operate every day between Seattle, Washington and Anchorage, Alaska. And unlike most flights nowadays in the US that are nonstop, Alaska's milk runs are not. They stop multiple times at small Alaskan communities before ending up in either Seattle or Anchorage. For example, this flight which was AS65 operates every day and runs the following routing. Seattle, Washington (SEA) - Ketchikan, Alaska (KTN) - Wrangell, Alaska (WRG) - Petersburg, Alaska (PSG) - Juneau, Alaska (JNU) - Anchorage, Alaska (ANC). So as you can see, the flight stops 4 times at Alaskan cities before eventually ending up in Anchorage. This might sound crazy as well, but the 75 miles from Ketchikan to Wrangell is not even close to being the shortest segment. That honor goes to the Wrangell to Petersburg leg, that measures in at a whopping 31 miles. In fact, that segment between Wrangell and Petersburg is the shortest regularly scheduled commercial airline flight in the USA. You spend roughly 6-7 minutes in the air and only climb to around 4,000-6,000 feet. Alaska's milk runs are some of the most breathtaking and unique flights anywhere in the world.

@@paulvincent3299 oh I understand. I prefer behind the wing too as the whole reason this channel exists is because I'm a massive aviation enthusiast. I was just pointing out that usually the comments are the other way around because most people want the view over more wing haha. This is one of those, no matter what you do, half isn't going to like it. I try to have a good variety of seating options every week so everyone gets some videos from the vantage point they prefer.
