Thanks. Would've been more interesting to see you pull the seals out, identify how the filter is mounted, differences between the seals, and putting it all back together again.

Those pressure sensing units also have a temperature sensor built in. If that portion of it goes bad it may also cause shift problems. I had a 97 Hyundai Elantra that was having a lot of what felt like slippage issues after the car warmed up. Did some research and suggestions were that the temp sensor in the tranny was bad. Very simple and cheap part to replace ($40) and slippage problem was gone after replacing. If you have a lot of miles and your pressure switch has never been replaced it might be wise to replace since they cost less than $100.

What are the torque settings for the bolts on these switch plates, I'm doing my 3rd service on my 4l60e vs clubsport and also do a oil cooler bypass. How would I go about draining the torque converter if possible. I love the vids mate, their informative and their australian, keep up the great work 🇭🇲

hi, id say about 10-12Nm same/similar as the vbody to case bolts. to do a full fluid change with our flush machine usually needs approx 30-40L ( 3x - 4x original dry fill capacity 4l60 is about 10L ) we only do a full change if coolant/water has entered trans. see kzitem.info/news/bejne/kqaX12mIm5uFgYY & kzitem.info/news/bejne/t5urm5xrnqiFnI4 generally what comes out with a pan drop is enough to reboost the fluid properties. we also like to use lubegard.com products to enhance the trans fluid. if you need some contact us via our facebook link in description if you are in australia. thanks & cheers

@@YepThatsIt Thanks for the reply and the info. Yeah I'm in Australia I'm in Perth. My car was on stands for a few months while I did all the diff etc, dropped the trans pan cold and got a good 8 or 9 lts of fluid which was a surprise. So all back together now and running good, what brand of trans coolers do you use? (if you can say it on this platform) You guys are in Sydney am I right? Keep up the great work mate, your videos are informative and helpful and Australian 🇭🇲👍

hi, when we "properly" test solenoids, we warm them up also and test... as well as leak testing. i understand many people dont have proper tools, so i say test as many solenoids and do as many tests as you can do with the time and tools you have. cheers

if trans is worn, fresh fluid can make it worse. the new fluid is thinner than old contaminated, broken down fluid. if there are internal pressure leaks thinner fluid will escape through those leaks easier. cheers

@@requiem2803 hi, after you check all the basics, it can be blocked/leaking filter and/or a sticky valve in pump or valve body. if you are getting a fault code, generally means electrical issue. make sure you flush the pressure switch as in vids. i have few showing that. cheers
