The hardest part for me is feeling like a never ending tug of war between being a super hands on mom - to also taking care of myself. It’s so easy to get lost in it all.

I’m Watching this as I am settling into nannying a three-month-old part-time, caring for my toddler, and preparing to bring another baby into the world when he turns 2. This video was HELPFUL! I have had so much anxiety about some of these things, and hearing your perspective has come as a big reminder to give myself, my husband, my son and everyone else so much grace. The baby I care for is miles apart from how my son was at that age-and since she’s not my child it’s different and harder in some ways. It makes me truly grateful for the journey I had with my son, PPD and all, because I learned so much and I’m able to help this other family adjust. I’m learning though this too because she comes with a different set of challenges. I know it will be different again with two of my own, and I pray my second is an angel baby too! 🙏🏻

Also I feel like gentle parenting only works on certain kids 🤷🏾♀️ so keep that in mind , it didn’t work for my son and finding something that did was critical for us lol they can sense fear and they will take advantage of u let them 💕

I love your honesty in this video about transitioning from one to two kids. We are praying about having a second baby, but feel a bit scared since our son is such a good boy, and things feel easy right now. I also feel like I would do a natural Non medicated birth with my second one, since I didn’t have the best experience with all the medical interventions

The hardest part for me has been postpartum depression. I had it with my 2 year old but had no idea so it all snowballed into my pregnancy with my second and postpartum. I realized I had PPD right before I got pregnant so now that I can name it, I can find ways to help it. Therapy has been God-sent! I can now count the episodes I’ve had in weeks. Whereas with my first, it was a constant state of PPD and I had no idea. I will say the questionnaire the nurses give us are misleading. It is possible we fall through the cracks and it’s up to us to find resources. I really felt connected to this video, thank you!

I’m currently 3/4 weeks pp and I’m noticing a lot of differences between my 17 month old and my newborn as well. I breastfed them both but my newborn is so cranky lol he never wants to be put down so we baby wear all day everyday and with my oldest he loved being in his swing. I love your videos and pray that God continues to help you with navigating your two babies

Nicole, your baby is so sweet!! Be strong with everything, I understand you.. I have one but my husband's sisters have 3 to 10 kids each and I do not know how they manage.. I see them cool most of the time. I guess they have accepted and embraced the fact that they will never have a full sleep at night and everything. I believe that while the kids grow, they can help with some stuff, starting from the things they do to themselves, like dressing, bathing, eating, drinking etc. The age of 2 to 3 is the most violent and disagreeable age, so I hope you stay strong for one more year and things will get better. The most important of all is to maintain your love with your husband, try hard to understand each other because you both try your best and when all these difficulties get better you will have built a so strong bond with each other! He is the most important person even from your kids and you are the most important to him! My best wishes! Nice to watch your video! (PS About the discipling of Jace, the book "Parenting towards the Kingdom" really helps)

I'm 2 weeks postpartum with baby no 3. I have 2 boys almost 6 yrs and 2 yrs n 8 months old. I actually found just having a baby such a shock for me lol, i was definitely not prepared!!! The transition from 1 to two was challenging with my oldest trying to ajust to a new baby, but it does get easier as time goes on! Going from 2 to 3 kids, well not much difference really, a little challenging because My baby is only 2 weeks old so still finding my routine with everything.

Im a FTM, just had my baby two weeks ago. But Im also a bonus mom to a 6 year old. He’s only here half the time but man had it been hard. I just entered motherhood with a newborn but also transitioning into having two kids at once, and sometimes all on my own due to my fiancé needing to work. He also works nights some days. Its been so hard and I’m only two weeks in 😭 I’m definitely afraid of getting postpartum depression- also to add, I know having a toddler and a newborn must be harder but my 6 year olds needs have changed as he gets older and its been tough bc he’s in an age where he questions everything, talks back and has been acting out. So its been hard bc of the discipline aspect 🥴

Moms of KZitem please help. Are sleep regressions real? First time mom here. My little girl is 6 months, but I haven’t noticed a change in her sleep. She still wakes up once a night for a feed. But I’m worried. Every KZitem mom, forum, baby app, etc, warns about the the “4 month sleep regression” yet I haven’t noticed a sleep regression. Does this mean she’s not hitting a milestone ? She has a doc appointment in a few weeks but the anxiety of asking can’t wait.
@daryacherkasov1070
2 жыл бұрын
My son skipped a few sleep regressions but he also had them at different times like instead of 9 months it was around 10.5 months, it all depends on your baby so I wouldn’t be to worried!
@alexarussell9395
2 жыл бұрын
They are definitely not a thing babies “must” have. They’re just common, but not all babies experience it the way you may think! If your baby hasn’t shown any crazy regression related behavior, then lucky you 😂 Babies can experience sleeping regressions until even 3 years old, it’s just a response to learning new things, teething, emotional stuff, anything. There are a spectrum of reasons for regressions and there’s a spectrum of responses to growing/learning! If you’re concerned ask your pediatrician but I wouldn’t be worried :) Sounds like your baby is just super chill!

Do not worry, there is actually no evidence that the so called “4 month sleep regression” is a milestone. It is just a weak theory. My daughter has been a great sleeper since birth and never had a sleep regression. My son, on the other side, was a nightmare of a sleeper and hit all the sleep regressions on the book 😂.
@rfevelle

My daughter skipped alot of regression 'milestones' too. From what I can remember, she only really had a clear 12 month regression. It really depends on your child. My daughter is now 14 months, and she's healthy, good appetite, attentive and engaging during activities.

@@donniedarko448 Have you read it? It takes a clear stand against abuse. Actually just finished an entire chapter on how to avoid abusive parenting and avoid anger in child training all together. Anyone that abuses their child is worthy of a millstone being hung around their neck and thrown into the ocean (a biblical reference used in the chapter I just read). Yes, there is a lot of opposition to it but it is because it is very Biblical and not in line with new progressive parenting methods. Highly recommend reading it!🥰
