I enjoyed this video because it showed that you can defend a D1 point guard and that you can score on D1 players. Also, that you recognized that you had another scorer on your team which meant that you did not have to be the primary scorer. All of the UCLA players in the video can shoot.

why wud u think tristan cudn't score/d on d1 bro. . .come on = /
@theodorereph8971
2 жыл бұрын
@@oopalonga because he plays a lot of men's league games. Yes there are very good players. Division 1 players are quick, strong, and a major step up from men's league games and pickup games. It was interesting to see how his game changed because of the talent that he was playing with and against. I don't think the division 1 players can stop Tristan from scoring.
@oopalonga

@@theodorereph8971 umm. . .it was obvious he was d1 prior to playing in men's leagues, and if uve watched him over time, it's clear his game has gotten better since he was in HS. . .and he hits threes w/ an old school jumper from NBA range. anyhow, perhaps u don't know his history and i guess whats obvious to soem aint always obvious to others. take care my friend :)
@fgrep15
2 жыл бұрын
@@theodorereph8971 I understand what you mean. I think sometimes people forget that the D1 players used to play in high school and got scored on in high school ;). Also people forget that not everyone is playing at the D1 level because of their defensive ability. I do get what you mean, but I think sometimes people think that high level basketball players are almost sort of invincible on the court.
@theodorereph8971
2 жыл бұрын
@@fgrep15 I did not play high school basketball but somehow ended up senior year of college on a d-3 jv team. I was kind of lost playing on an organized team. Yea, I played lots of pickup games. I recognized that the players were better because they understood where to be and what to do. And yes, D-3 is a step above HS and many steps below D-1. D-1 has multiple levels. For example, if Villanova played Lehigh or Bucknell, Villanova will post strong wins over those two teams. Bucknell and Lehigh are D-1 schools but no where close to Villanova. To play on Villanova, you must play defense. (I have gone to many VIllanova games). I consider UCLA at the same level as Villanova. That's why I observed that Tristan was scoring, playing defense, grabbing rebounds, getting assists, and doing the small things for wins.
