One point I was missing about the importance of mobility is that to every motion there is a group of muscles being antagonists. If those are stiff, you have to overcome additional resistance.

Hi Brian, I am 15 years old and weigh 105. I bench 135, squat 205 and I have a question. So basically I'm really skinny and I eat like 40g of protein a day is there any cheap source of protein I could buy because rn what's stopping me from getting stronger is my diet I can't eat enough and my family has bad financial problems rn. What could I resort to, in order to up my protein intake. Edit: Thank you everyone for the advice I really appreciate it.

If you eat rice, you could try adding kidney beans, theyr real cheap and are a good carb and protein source. I also buy frozen chicken breasts as they end up being cheaper. Eggs are also amazingly cheap sources of protein, if you want to gain weight, a couple of egg mayo sandwiches every meal won't hurt if you train properly.

try and find a cheap protein powder. Even though it may seem more expensive because it's all in one go - it's normally better value in the long run.

Milk is a very good and cheap protein source, also try to eat whole grains like oats

Peanut butter is dirt cheap and very calorie dense too if your goal is to gain weight. Not sure where you live but you can get 1 jar of PB in the USA for about $2, which is approx 3000 calories and 110 grams of protein.

Hey Brian i have been following WSM for many years and i really love i, but there is one question that keep popping into my head and that is, why is that most of you top athlete have a body that look of a more big body build and i wonder why you super strong guys don't look more like mariusz pudzianowski did when he was the WSM is there a good answer to this ? :) best regards Thomas

I see the most lifting mistakes when people are almost maxed out. They lose form and try to lift at full speed causing injury to their lower back. Slow and steady wins the race, if your feeling pain stop for the day.
@MrSylvester1111

Just do it like the man Brian Shaw and also 4x wsm Magnus ver magnusson. Push yourself in the trainings but never do the 1 rep maxes. Never go to 100%, always left something in the tank so you know that you could have done better, and slowly improve over time. Leave that 100% for the competition, and if you do not even compete never go 100% anyways, because the risk of damaging yourself is soooo much higher at 100% than maybe 90-95%, but the effect of gaining muscle and strenght isn’t that high, that it is worth the risk.

Would love Brian's thoughts on the use of ice in the light of the new evidence on its detrimental effects on recovery and whether he thinks the ice bath benefit comes from the contrast with the heat and the increase in blood flow that it causes, (leaving aside the mental toughness benefits) or whether for a strongman if he thinks there are initial effects on inflammation and pain that are specific to the sport? kzitem.info/news/bejne/taZp3GefpoSkgX4
