Haay Finally, a Pinoy Guitar channel na siksik ang content, minimal bs at minimal show-off. New subscriber here sir. Looking forward sa next episode. Isang comment lang re: Tonewood. Hindi worth ito for electric G kasi most of the time may overdrive/dist ang tone natin, sobrang hindi pansin ang epekto ng tonewood, minsan kahit sa cleantone. Mas malaki ang epekto ng magandang pickup.

Or bumili ka ng high end guitars ng Cort like G290 LE, G300 Pro, X700 Duality. Flamed maple top, SS frets, Locking Tuners, 2 point trem, Seymour Duncan Pickups, Compound radius and ebony fretboard sa halagang 40-50k. Ang kagandahan lng ng Partscaster as you call it, eh mauunti unti mo yung upgrades kung limited ang budget.

I appreciate expensive guitars and all the design principles applied to it. Having said that, i have been playing for 26 years and I am more pleased having my guitar custom made. Yes i do still have some of my Ibanez and Charvel and others. Through all the years, alam ko na kung ano yung gusto ko, from woods ( 1 pc mahog body, maple neck and ebony fretboard) stainless jumbo frets, a set of dimarzio pups, locking tuners. Neck thickness and width and radius among other things. I get all my prefences which makes it easier for me to play the music i make. Sure, it costs a lot too but not as expensive as the expensive brand names. No re-sale value since i am not known like the vai's and the gilberts and the petruccis. But with custom, you get what you need, if you know what they are.

Awesome playing and explanation. One thing though…mababa pa rin ang resale value ng modded JCraft kesa stock na high end na gitara..especially the branded ones like Fender and Gibson where you get around at least 60% of your money back. You’ll never get close to what you’ve spent sa pag upgrade and set-up ng JCraft kung ibebenta mo sya.
@dongdong8933

Tone is tone. None is superior and inferior just different. Thats why I own multiple guitars. I love my Partscaster as much as my 12 Custom Shop Fenders and Gibsons. Besides durability and quality of materials. The real advantage of an expensive guitar is really the playability. You can feel it right away. The rolled edges, everything is smooth and your hand will just glide thru the neck. It makes you play better because you don't have to fight the guitar. It doesn't mean you cannot get a budget guitar to do the same. You could but you have to do extra work to it. One of my favorite guitar player is Jack Pearson he uses Fender Squier's. He sounds good but then again he is the great Jack Pearson. Most people spend a lot of money on guitars but really it should be spent on Amps and Cabs. A crappy guitar can sound good thru a good amp. You just have to turn the knobs.
@razerPh

You're right but the Durability of an expensive guitar is the one that you're looking for because the materials and wood that they used and the Tone itself is something that you should consider.

Okay sana yang jcraft tbh. Main problem niya yung wood and stock parts. Spent almost as much ng telecaster nila to make it better. Then I realized na yung wood niya kasi super light and soft ng material parang di maramdaman yung guitar haha. Ditched my Jcraft tele for a sqoe, mas okay yung wood and build, especially yung new radian series 👌

I had a guitar that is almost or if not, older than me. It was used by my uncles and other relatives whenever they drink beers and party. Its a weird, brandless guitar and the headstock only says "rockstar" lol. It got stainless steel frets which is a godsend and it is on HSS configuration with brandless pickups. It works like a charm but I'll upgrade the pickups when time comes. I wont ever change the guitar even if it looks janky and chipped because it probably has a good story and history.

Panalo, sir! Hahaha! Pero, sulit naman. For me, pag nahanap ko 'yun, pang habang buhay na 'yun. Sa ngayon, nahanap ko naman na siya (ata), after 1 Squier Telecaster Affinity, 1 Rj 1990's strat, 1 Yamaha EG112 HSS strat, 1 JCraft LTX1 and 1 Cort acoustic guitar. Plus, lots of pedals. Having a few guitars will give you options pero it will also give you a lot of time for having that "tone". Also, Tom Morello used only two guitars since day one. Use everything you have, master each of it, and you'll be less likely to buy another gear. Salamat, sir PAX for this wonderful video!

Napanood ko yang video ni Tom Morello! Ang ganda nga. Totoo yan, dapat talaga nating mas iprioritize yung enjoyment natin. 🥰
