Thank you for these videos man. I watch most of the pro players instructional vids out there, and yours are by far the best. You get straight to the point, and you explain everything perfectly. You're doing us a great service. Keep it up! Gonna share you with my other pool fiend friends.

I find myself trying to "manufacture" an impossible position at least a few times per session. In the back of my mind I know I need a better solution to a particular shot, but refuse to accept it in the moment. It's getting better over time but still happens way too much. Keep getting betrayed when too lost in flow state. I like that a common theme of this channel is to just accept what the table gives. Keeping this in mind has helped my game a ton.

Its something I still catch myself doing. I was out playing today and almost had the exact scenario I set up with the 8 to the 9. I had to fight myself to actually play it a different way, but I did and I got out of the rack.

Top notch! Well done sir. When I get out of line I find myself trying to play position that my stroke just can’t reliably produce. Knowing your limitations is key. We aren’t all a Jayson Shaw.

Good stuff! Thanks for posting! After one of your previous videos, and a miss on a straight-in 8 ball shot a couple of weeks ago, I took your advice and have added in (upwards of) 100 straight-in shots each practice session. I do the 1 to 15 ball for 2-foot, 3-foot, and 4-foot stop shots, 3-foot follow shots (trying to follow into the pocket), and 3-foot draw shots (trying to draw back into the tip of my cue). I'm tracking my sessions so I can measure progress and am seeing improvement after just a few sessions, especially on the harder Diamond tables I prefer to practice on. Thanks for the tips and keep up the good work!

Wow, you have a new subscriber! I am very impressed not only with what you showed, but how you put it together. Keep producing these kind of videos and it will not take long to get to 100k subscribers. Can I give one bit of criticism though? I think the videos are a bit too dark. A little more light around the table would make the atmosphere a bit better. Otherwise very good video and advice.

I'll try bumping up the ISO a bit in the future. I am just worried about overexposing the table. My camera isn't very good with unevenly lit areas. When I upgrade to something that can shoot in LOG, it should be better.

I have a video planned with a title along the lines of no shot is easy where I discuss how the easier a shot is the easier it is to miss shape because of the wide variety angles the cue ball can come off at depending on which side of the pocket you shoot the object ball into.

Cheating the pocket to get a little more angle and use less stroke is something I used to overlook.

Its funny how as a player we go from aiming for an entire pocket and ignoring position to aiming to a specific side of the pocket for a slight change in angle on the cue ball. The difference is small in words, but huge in terms of skill.

You should dedicate a video on how to use the rails. When to draw back for shape and when to go forward. Also, in this video when you shoot the 8 with outside english for shape on the 9 how did you adjust the path? Less stroke or different english?
@WorldofPoolandBilliards

I got a lot of educational stuff in the works, and patter and position play will be in there. All I did to change the path was hit a bit less bottom and a bit less left.

That tendency to play position with outside spin with a soft hit, when the easier shot is to hit the ball with a normal stroke without side spin. I notice this comes up on occasion.

Hey guys , i recently discovered that i have a great potential to become very good in a few years and i want to buy a pool table to get as close as possible to tournament facilities. The problem is , if i buy a 9ft table i have less space to the wall due to my long cue (im 1,96m tall). Is an 8 ft table enough or may be a 7 ft?
@WorldofPoolandBilliards
3 жыл бұрын
The bigger the table the better, but it is also important to make sure you have room around the table. Also, pay attention to pocket size. You will be in for a rude awakening if you go from playing on a Silver Valley bar box to a 9 ft Diamond.
