Crazy that I actually just heard both of the top two. And I agree that a lot of what I struggled with, till this day, is toxic shame which plays into the nice guy syndrome.

I disagree with the suggestion that people shouldn’t be like the suggestions in the book “the 48 laws of power“ People should exactly be like that. People should be that way to the point of disrupting everything in their lives and watch how your life will improve.

Great video. I paused the video for a couple of minutes so I could go ahead and buy one of the books online. I definitely struggle with being too much a nice guy.

Thanks for posting this mate. I have come to realise only recently that I have been this type of guy since leaving high school and now in late 50s. And it has taken its toll with lost marriage s and sh!t jobs. It was only a couple of years ago I decided to take back my life and your posts surely help. Thanks again.

Everytime I see No More Mr. Nice Guy being recommended, I will ALWAYS recommend When I Say No, I Feel Guilty 10 times over. The reason? NMMNG would get a bit deep on why and how you developed yourself into a Nice Guy, but give little tools on how to develop a strong personae. WISNIFG... holy shit, does that book really delivers and blows your mind with the author's wisdom, and on top of that, he provides a set of techniques to further develop your assertiveness and stoicism to unimaginable levels. While the 1st book is good, it falls really short to the 2nd one. One talks about why and how you got weak. The other is like a fking lesson on kung fu to get strong ASAP.

You have a lot of great points and I love the masculinity empowerment but I just have one comment that yes it’s important for a man to have a mission. But if he makes that the most important thing in his life and he’s also a father and a husband… It’s much harder to succeed as a father and a husband. Yes it’s important to have a mission and to be a fully empowered masculine father husband partner. Not easy but definitely worth striving for❤
