Another recommendation would be "The Cathedral and the Bazaar" by Eric S. Raymond. He shows up a perspective on which every developer faces real situations and how it can be led by the common sense. His vision hasn't changed so much since then (this essay was wrote in 1999, as the same time as "The pragmatic programmer")
