Welcome to my hometown. In particular, Azumino, Matsumoto etc. in the Chubu district are said to be the original scenery of Japan. The route connecting Tokyo Nagoya Osaka Kyoto is called the Golden route. On the other hand, the place you visited is called the so - called “Samurai road“ inside. Unlike sightseeing routes, it is for backpackers but it is becoming famous for “Snow monkey“ and Hakuba ski resort. But it is a good place for instagrammable .

Hi I am a native Japanese born and grown up in Nagoya. Fake foods made in Japan are the best, I am sure. Your choices are pretty exciting. Nice trip and many thanks for sharing.

Thank you for this wonderful video! I was in Sapporo 10 years ago for a pottery/art exhibition. We traveled down to Tokyo & Kyoto and also visited Takayama. This was a fun memory jog.

Also I want to check with you when did you make the trip? The weather looks awesome and warm but there were snow walls in your video. I can't figure out was in shot in winter or summer?? hahaha

Are you talking about the alpine route? :) It's usually during April to June (especially for seeing the snow wall). The route closes in winter but it is still open until early November for fresh snow. (Find out more here: iamaileen.com/tateyama-kurobe-alpine-route-snow-wall-japan-travel-guide/)
