What do you mean don't gift someone a towel? Towels are the single most useful thing to have with you around the galaxy.

Wow, I love these ideas--and they're all affordable. I never would have thought of dropping my splash cymbal onto a drum head or stacking it on another cymbal--that's genius and it was in front of my eyes the whole time. Your drumming is outstanding and the production quality of your video is commercial quality without feeling soul-less. Jesus, a towel? Why didn't I think of that? I used to put my leather wallet on the snare drum and that did a nice job of damping things, but now I have a plastic shell wallet so that's out. I especially liked the sound of the brass bells hanging off the cymbals--they seem to add depth to the sound. Thank you for a great video that makes me want to run down to the drums except that it's 12:09 a.m. and my family is asleep :)

Great suggestions dude. Thanks for providing links too. Quick question: that right-sided ride; what is that? Appreciate it. I realize you answered the left-sided ride Q below..

Jacob Hillery thanks man! The right side ride is a 20 inch dream dark matter “flat” ride (even though it has a small bell lol). I bought it at PASIC a while back. I also installed 3 bosphorus brass rivets into it!

Is that website where you got your string of bells? Like do you trust it? Is it legit?
@JulianArcher

No, this is not where I got mine. I got mine at a drum shop in denver, but they look exactly like the picture in this photo. If you find any other bell string online that looks like that, they should work! Sorry for the sketchy link.

What would the seed shaker suspended within say mini bongos sound like? Suspended by wire to increase vibration. Played with brushes by hitting the bongo heads. Brushes ends pushed upwards for more attack and definition.

Once again, I just want to make sure where you got yours because I can’t find any reviews on the website and they are not backed by the Better Business Bureau

I actually found them in a children’s musical instrument bin in a music store. They weren’t even for sale, but I offered them ten bucks and got them. I would recommend looking online, and I also provided a link in the description of this video to some that I think look good!
