You both are awesome 👌 discussing 😀 and sharing with us about the rabbits. I am watching Alex picking up the cute 😍 little babies and I can't imagine how in a few months you butch ea of them . Like goats or chickens they outgrow their cuteness 😍 and cuddling factor the bunnies stay soft and cuddly and that's why I can't do that part & finally gave up the rabbits! How did you guys get past that??

I live in Thailand. Just got a Dutch buck and a Rex doe. Temperatures in the cool season averages 32 degrees C. At night, with fans, I can get it to just about 29 C. They get ice bottles too quite a lot. Am I sh1t out of luck for breeding? I read that they go sterile temporarily after 5 days over 28C. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing this. Plus, you can given them frozen veggies as well. OJ bottles are nice and thick. I have people saving them for me. I also spray the ground underneath the cages which cools the area as well. Just a couple of things I am trying. The rabbits seem to enjoy all your ways you described to cool them off. My rabbits are in your design of cages in a covered shelf, within my garden. Easy to use up their manure. God Bless you both.

There feet on those wire cages are not good
@xanecho
2 жыл бұрын
As long as the wire is the right gauge, galvanized, and sanitized frequently, then it's fine. It would be better if there were some rest pads in the cage, and maybe if the cages were a little bigger, but assuming all of the other listed things are done right, wire flooring isn't as dangerous as people think. Sore hocks can happen on any surface.

rabbits are amazing beautiful creatures , there so emotional and truly love you once you have a bond , I dont understand how some people eat them , that is cruel they have feelings and need to be treated like the best , every animal and human should always be treated fairly and never valued as meat , many humans think that just because there animals and dont speak our language they should be hurt or eaten or caged . caging an animal is the worst thing you could ever do , especially to birds and rabbit its like saying , im going to cut off you legs for your safety thats not life , people dont understand that god or source didn't create animals to be eaten FOR US that is a very selfish concept , every animal and human are born to enjoy there life and live there purpose , animals are not born to serve us for meat thats wrong . thats why always value any animals as you would value any human , with love , kindness, and heart , all of us desveles to live life , animals are NOT MEAT THEY ARE LIVING BEING WITH EMOTION LOVE PASSION , A MOTHER COW WOULD LOVE HER BABY AS MUCH AS A HUMAN MOTHER WOULD . thank you

For baby bunnies specifically is there anything extra I can do? I'm worried frozen water bottles might be too much before they have much fur if they get pressed up against it :/ it's been about 90 most days here with some cooler days in between. >.< We didn't mean for our bunny to get pregnant and we've avoided any pregnancies for over 5 years but recently almost a month ago one of my bunnies dug a 10 foot tunnel and her and her secret boyfriend chewed through the fence to his run and I found them together at his place the next morning x.x. Now in the last week she has pulled out more fur than I thought she had and built a giant nest in her hutch @.@

I don’t raise rabbits and it was an accidentally situation n I’m not even 100% sure she’s pregnant but I’m preparing.. “Potato” is an indoor but however we don’t have ac and it gets pretty warm even with the fans on .. will the nesting box get too warm? Should I maybe add holes for air flow?

Yes holes would be good. What we have done is don't let the fur the mom makes her nest with get really thick after they are born. Definitely try to have a fan close to them to circulate the air.
