Thank you again for collaborating with me! I just finished your video and the way you painted to give a faux wood look blows my mind. I never EVER would have thought to use yellow as a base. I remember you did your door in a similar way last year but I don't remember if you used yellow as a base? So much love to you my sweet friend ❤❤❤
@TheDailyDIYer
4 жыл бұрын
@@GlueGunsRoses It's such a cool technique! I used a peach paint for the base for the front door. I love both looks, the peach is just more subtle and the real wood grain look comes from the paint brush strokes with the front door. The yellow is a little more forgiving. Hope you get a chance to try them out! I know you'd make something amazing with it!

I am so glad to see you using lattice stripping! I don’t know who came up with the idea of using paint stirring sticks for everything. Meghan, you’re the real deal. Using a square and actually knowing what to call it. These ladders are awesome! Now, those salt and pepper shakers...those are some Texas size barbecue salt and pepper shakers. I still have some family in TX. I may just gift my nieces with a set of those! Thanks for the great projects, super instructions and awesome use of materials. I hope you have a great weekend and can be throwing a big ole barbecue SOON! 😊👍🏻🦋

I completely enjoy your creations & humble approach to making them. I have a tip for your salt shaker, especially if you are going to use it outside. Put a layer of uncooked white rice in it. It absorbs moisture, keeps the salt from clumping & is too big to come out of the holes.

I love the ladder. I only have a Lowe’s near my home. They have a 36 inch long strip which is perfect for my two ideas. A small one for my daughter’s kitchen and a larger one for living room/garden shed. She’s getting married in June and she is registered but she wants something different from mom. I’m also going to make her a wood round tray monogrammed stenciled with a D tray plus handles and a Farmhouse shiplap tray. I might make her a large wood round lazy Susan to go on her kitchen table.
