I'm an F1 history enthusiast myself, so I've heard of all these circuits, including Pescara GP, won by Stirling Moss. I would also include the sole 1984 Dallas GP or the 1993 European GP, held at Donnington, Derbyshire, UK. What even less people heard about is the 1967 French GP, not held at Reims or Rouen, but strangely, at Le Mans. So, there are quite a few one-off appearences in F1 history, and a handfull of drivers, declared winners of sole circuit events - Jack Brabham in 1967, Keke Rosberg in 1984 and Ayrton Senna in 1993. I've almost forgotten the first Austrian GP at Zeltweg, in 1964 - the only win of Lorenzo Bandini.

It's kind of funny to list Detroit as obscure, because as I understand it, according to my dad, we got the American races, Monaco and maybe one other crown jewel on the calendar like the British GP or Monza televised for US audiences back then, and that was pretty much it most years until Speedvision came along. I'd argue if we're talking about GPs that are obscure **by name** and not necessarily by venue, then I'd say "United States Grand Prix West" is pretty obscure. Most people probably assume it was always called "Long Beach Grand Prix" or "Grand Prix of Long Beach." I also wouldn't be so sure about the Indian Grand Prix being significantly less obscure than the Pacific Grand Prix. It was one of those new races from the Vettel era, when F1 was expanding into new markets honestly too quickly with brand new permanent facilities, half or which would drop off the calendar by 2014, with Buddh only hosting F1 for those three years. It was, however, immortalized in the Codemasters F1 games, which were just taking off at the time. But still, the Indian GP had run its course well before the DTS crowd arrived. I'm aware of it and Korea, but many new fans won't be. The Pacific GP was even more short-lived, but it is famous for being one of Ayrton Senna's frustrating final outings with his new team before his death. Its relevance in F1 lore is assured.

CART would eventually take over the detroit grand prix when f1 left. They would move the race to belle isle after continuing downtown for a few years. The race would leave the calendar after 2001, only to return with indycar post merger in 2007 for two seasons, then off the schedule again until returning in 2012, where it was a double header through 2021, except the cancelled 2020 race, a single race in 2022, then returned downtown as a single race on a shortened version of the f1/CART layout in 2023, where it is today

You fact about Hawthorn being the world champion with fewest career wins (3) is correct, sort of. 1961 Champion Phil Hill (the first American, and only American born Champion) only won 3 GP’s as well. At the time of Farina winning 1950 Championship he had 3 wins, but would get more in later seasons. And finally, Keke Rosberg in 1982 was crowned Champion with just one career win, like Farina he would win more in later seasons. Hawthorn and Rosberg hold the record of just one win in their Championship winning seasons.

I saw where this was heading the moment in you said that "Nobody could locate Luxembourg". So I was forseen that race that nobody heard about would be "races that actually a lot of people remember, unless you joined F1 after watching Drive to Survive". Luxembourg GP? Pacific GP? Or even Detroit? Morrocan is a good fit, since it was held once in 1958, Switzerland might fit, was long time ago, but you missed Pescara that I bet is even more forgotten than any of previous. The German GP races held at AVUS are also something from the very beginning.

I wouldn't say the Detroit GP is totally forgotten. It's semi-famous because it was in the automotive capital of the world. Because the scenery was pretty interesting as an urban street race.
