I had read We Have Always Lived In The Castle about 6 years back that too through a PDF of it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and such genre doesn't give you the freedom of being able to guess what's coming next. In the end it leaves a happy memory for you once you finish it. Must read for people who are interested in any such genres.

For me its Dune (first part), LOTR, The Bourne Identity - robert Ludlum, Matter of Honour - Jefferey Archer, Five point someone(hell lot better than the movie and the only book by this Author I can forgive. even J K rowling has better plot, setting and language than Chetan Bhagat). All Harry potters - all books in less than a day each, my guilty pleasure. only ones I can recall currently...

Kurt Vonnegut has a unique non linear storytelling style. The entire plot is narrated in a disjointed way where there are multiple excerpts in every chapter that are not necessarily chronologically tied. Read jailbird and deadeye Dick. Interesting yet at times challenges you to connect the dots.
