Another well presented tutorial Rhys ,informative and to the point , great job , thanks for sharing your knowledge ...... you mentioned the ginking and sinking of your leader when using CDC emergers !! As simple as it sounds to the experienced angler , I’d love to see how you do that, as this style of fishing is something I’m certainly looking forward to experimenting with this season , and possibly how would this look with droppers etc. ,,,,, thanks again Rhys please keep up the great work 🎣

Hi Rhys, Another excellent video! Could you advise please. For leader length you recommend 15-18ft with 5-6ft between droppers. I regularly fish waters where the depth is 10 ft or less much of it around the 6ft mark. With your recommended leader length and fishing nymphs and buzzers effectively dead weight then the lower two flies are on the bottom. Would it be best to shorten the leader and reduce or remove the droppers. Or shorten the leader and the gaps between droppers. Cheers John
@RhysFishes
3 жыл бұрын
The latter john. If there is no interest at that point it may be a case that the flies are fishing to close together and so reducing the amount of flies to 2 may be the better option

Hi Rhys, great video as normal. You mention using stroft for the dry flys. I normally use Grand Max Fluoro for non-drys, interested to know why you use stroft as appose to Fluoro?!
@RhysFishes
3 жыл бұрын
I use flouro for all sub surface and some top water methods. I revert to stroft if i have to fish very light i.e anything under 3lb tippet

This was a great beginners kit for a great price. kzitem.infoUgkxKRURvLsu9Vvyw7gIuvt8FsApoQNCdz-1 Its given us a huge variety to test out and see what works well and what we like to use. Majority of the flies have stayed together well, but some of the rainbow warriors did unravel after catching a few blue gill. All in all, this was a great kit and are so happy with the purchase and value for money.
