I was glad to see that American Beach in Jacksonville FL was still considered a Black Beach. While visiting there back in the early 2000s I heard that there was a move to take over that Beach by developers who were not interested in recognizing Black history.

Atlantic Beach used to be the going place for many blacks near and far years a go. Now there is nothing there anymore. My Uncle Thelton had a patio there and it would be jumping. The town is run down because of drugs and crime. My dad told me during his younger years; you'd see lots of black entertainers there like Little Richard, James Brown and so many others.

I don't understand why black people think they should be hurded together every time they go on a vacation IE beach parks .To be a successful person visit other countries cultures that are our own learn different languages .If black people want to always be together why leave the ghetto just stay home. Learning is powerful knowledge and education.
