Edit: I want to clarify what I wear in this video. This video is just about the armor layer and the layering approach. I have a button up shirt in the video just to show how small and invisible the armor is: if I can wear under a formal shirt - I can wear it under anything. I don't usually ride in the button up shirt. On top of my 'armor layer' I usually wear abrasion resistant layer, warm layers, regular moto jacket (with armor removed), rain coat, etc. depending on where I ride and temperature. This shirt was just for the demo... Though if you find an abrasion resistant motorcycle casual shirt - you may be able to replicate my 'all dressed up' look if that's your thing for gnarly forest trails :)
I've tried so many motorcycle riding gear setup, until one day I fell and hurt myself. And it made me realize that my gear wasn't actually protecting me.
So I went on a quest to find something that actually protects me. And I found it!
The concept of layering: buy the best in class armored protection you can get and where it close to your body. And then just add or remove layers as needed. Hot - take them off. Cold - add layers. You got the idea.
