Thank you Lisa for sharing your trauma. I pray that you never have to go through this again. No one should have to, but Satan will stop at nothing to try to destroy us. See you in Heaven!

4 months now and i still haven’t got my feet planted on the ground again. Divorce, when it takes you by surprise, is like a landfall that washes away the village of your life. I have barely been able to hold on to the riverbank, but I still don’t know where I am. With two kids, i need to take care of them, but now I am doubting everything even my capacities as a dad. I need a vacation! Get some perspective. But thank you for your videos, you are an inspiration and a beautiful person.

Powerful analogy. At four months, you’re doing well if you can keep your head above water. In time, you’ll become a more capable swimmer and learn to navigate the waters better. The move to shore is slow with lots of slipping, moving through viscous mud. You will get there.

This is a great channel. I just discovered it tonight and it's helping so much. I used to watch Affair Recovery, a Christian based counselling channel, back when I discovered his affair (the first round of it). Since the second wave, it seemed to only drag me back down. He used to watch it w/ me, so it was more a reminder and trigger I didn't need. I can relate to you so much. Wish I made friends as easy and had so many people in my life. I fall short there, but am trying to reach out more.

That would be an awful trigger. Kudos to you for working on reaching on more. May beautiful friendships be in your future.

@@lisaarends8742 I did reach out to 3 old friends I've known since I was 18, in my area. They were all glad to hear from me again and we've been calling and visiting regularly. Helps to fill the void. Doesn't take it away, but 2 months w/ being out and a lot of the grief process is much easier now.

@@saintejeannedarc9460 That's so wonderful to hear that you've been spending time with those friends :) I really commend you on reaching out. I'm so glad that you're finding it a bit easier - may each day be a little better than the one before.

@@lisaarends8742 he is an inspiration too, and all the things we should look for, while dating again. I wish I knew more about him, especially the qualities that matter in him. Perhaps I want to request a future video about what really matters in a relationship/marriage/long term partnership, that our traumatized brain sometimes cannot detect. You explain it so well, I just love the simplicity and clarity in your thoughts about behaviors. I definitely relate to many examples. 🤗💕

Why was your divorce in the news? Crazy that after 13 years you are clearly still feeling impacted by it all. Hers a hug😊

I love your videos so much. I'm still very fresh out of divorce but your videos always gives me perspective and so much to think about. Sometimes the hurt really overwhelms but this helps me so much. Love how you see your own positionality in it all. Really working hard on the victim mentality and moving on
