The way you described injury #5 is something I've experienced countless times, and those countless times have taught me how to mitigate that specific pain to the point where I'm used to it and know how to recover from. It is essentially thick trigger points in the upper back which includes your scapula, teres, rhomboids, and trapezes. I learned from my acupuncture therapist years ago that trigger points in those regions can send out intense stiffness and sharp pain in your neck, which explains why it fucking hurts to turn your head even slightly whether standing or laying down. It's pretty wild how one area in your back is connected to your neck via nerve channels, and even a small trigger point can cause excruciating pain. If you ever feel pain in your upper back that is affecting your lifts, firstly stop. Understand that this can take up to 2 weeks to completely recover from if you're doing this the smart way. Lightly stretch out those trigger points so that your limbs can regain range of motion slowly over time. You can do this by tennis ball rolling on those trigger points, or having a friend/family massage those areas. You can also use a topical menthol like tiger balm to rub over those areas to promote blood circulation. Last, but not least, do neck rolling stretches because that will also help to alleviate tension in your traps and overall upper back. It's a simple 1-2 minutes you can do every other day that can go miles in your fitness journey while keeping that injury at bay. Not medical advice*! But I wanted to throw my 2 cents in there! Hope this helps anybody out there that is experiencing these symptoms. But if not, please see your doctor. Cheers!

I was having a similar problem with my scapular, the pain was so bad I couldn't even be able to retract it without any weight, I won't be able to do any back exercises, rear and side delts + even walking with a 10 kg dumbbell was so painful. I don't really know where I got that injury from, but probably that was because of bad warm up on chest supported rows. Pain was so bad like for a month and half, so yeah make sure to get really good warm up.

@@dracoaf4489 I have the same problem. I know where mine started though. I was doing chest supported rows and I started using lifting straps after months of just having it and not using it. I figured I was leaving gains on the table, so I went heavier than I usually would. In the concentric it was fine but then couple reps in going till failure I couldn't control the eccentric, my back was in a stretched position and I held the handles and pretty sure I pulled the muscle there. It's been maybe 2-3 months I still feel it, even on bicep curls. I ended up dropping the handles cuz i couldn't reach to the end.

Hey Tyler your scapular injury I have it too. It’s a pinched nerve in your neck. It SUCKS. If you know any good acupuncturists near you I really suggest seeing one as they can help a TON with this injury. Mine has gotten worse where the pain goes down my left arm. It got worse over time from training plus sleeping with my arm over my head. I hope this helps! If you have any questions you can always message me as the injury is a PAIN.

When I was 19 I had a torn up meniskus in my left knee I got from rotating my knee in a very bad way. I wont go into detail here. It was sewed back together in surgery but it still sometimes causes me problems today. Squatting sometimes causes some knee pain at least within the first set. And I can hardly go below parallel. Well other than that... My right wrist tendons once got hurt pretty bad that I had to pause 3 weeks because I couldnt properly grip anything without pain... They never fully recovered. It still hurts today sometimes but never its lasting pain.

Had a really similar scapular/neck pain that originated from my job (dentist so I spend most of the day hunched over with arms often splayed out to the sides at weird angles). I remember days I would be driving back home and just couldn't find a comfortable spot to rest my arm without a persistent dull ache from my left scapula and neck region. It ended up getting better as I focused on fine accessory movements like face pulls with progressive overload. My guess is that there were weak accessory muscles being strained over time from work resulting in pain.

Only recently had my first injury but haven't been going for 10 years lol only 4 months at this point. I don't know how I did it but I presume from dumbbell shoulder press I struggled to lift the weight in the last set and did some obscure oblique movement which must've done a tear on my oblique so put me out of lifting anything above shoulder height for about 3 weeks, oddly could still do regular bench press but anything on incline was a no go lol.

BRO I HAD THE SAME THING WITH MY SCAPULA, i was doing pullups and then i guess i wasnt warmed up and then a sharp ass pain was in my left scapula as well, and it hurt for a bit so i stopped my back workout and just chilled for the day with this crazy pain like someone scooped their hand under my shoulder blade hella weird, then the next day it turned into pain in my neck like not really my neck but right below my neck on my spine area in between my shoulder blades and I couldnt move my neck much and i thought that it would go away and I literally couldnt hold a kettle bell which is when i knew something was really wrong, but still i didnt get checked nun like that and I had that pain for about a month until i could do pull movements and even bench press hurt cuz u have to activate your scapula and i was really mad cuz this was when i was just about to hit 225 so i kinda stopped, and couldnt really do much i couldnt do pushups either, so i pretty much just hit legs and squats and actually was great because i ended up liked hitting legs since then but it took about 2 1/2 months for the pain to fully go away, i had zero treatment, no checkups, just waited it out and didnt even ice it, I literally thought that it wouldnt go away but it ended up going away, and no one knew what it was, and im surprised that u brang that up cuz damn i thought i was da only one. Also i forgot to mention one thing that was really annoying was that i couldnt crack my neck and it was really annoying, cuz gah damn that feels good but i couldnt so ye i am now grateful that i can crack my neck again.

I noticed that your left shoulder has a prominent acromion. Is that due to an injury, or have you always had it? I’ve only been training seriously for about six months, and about a month and a half ago, my shoulder started to protrude in the same area. I also developed a painful inflammation there, which has improved tho. I had an X-ray last week, and the doctors told me not to worry and to train my shoulder less intensely until it heals. It still hurts a bit, but after warming up, it doesn't affect my training, and the pain goes away completely during exercise. I didn't have this issue before; it only started recently. I’m just wondering if you’ve experienced something similar.
