I want to understand is there double tax to be paid, if US (indian )resident invests in Indian mutual fund. My assumption he has to pay only in India. Because income earned in US, does he need to pay to US also?

Hi Arun, I had a question. should I have NRE account to start investing or can I start this with my foreign bank account. If I can use my foreign account would i bear any extra changes, such as GST+HST or some other charges.

Hi, you need an NRE account to invest in Indian mutual funds as you cannot use a foreign bank account for this purpose. For more information feel free to contact our NRI Desk at 8080088288 or email us at cs@aktassociates.com
