amazing! Create such beautiful polyphonic mini-compositions with such a limited set of modules! This calls for truly multifunctional digital devices! I won’t be surprised if soon there will be modules (in fact, It already exist) with Windows or MacOs on board in the cases!

Thanks! Yeah, you will be surprised how minimal this is. Other than two patches, there are only 3 oscillators playing...

This is amazing... Which of your videos or courses would you suggest watching to learn how to make a complete modular song like this, from start to finish?

Thank you! What do you feel that you're struggling with? Is it more synthesis is general? or maybe signal flow? Is it composition?

@@MyModularMusicI would say it's more signal flow and composition when using modules that play themselves. I was intrigued by your video "Lets build a self-playing generative ambient patch," and I really want to figure out how to create something that rises into a melodic crescendo over time, then fades out. It would be cool to establish melodies or themes that come and go over time, almost like a "verse" and "chorus," with as little interaction as possible after you I hit play. I feel like I'm okay with the synthesis, but maybe I need to do a deep dive into counters and sequencers to get to the end result now? Basically, I'd love to see the making of Patch 1 from this video haha!

@@SullivanSublime I think that the best thing you can do is really concentrate and experiment with counters and melodies, but without the pressure of trying to finish a patch. Just create a simple voice, and don't try to build a full-on patch. Use one counter with this voice, try different approaches, and so on. I think that there's no way around practicing and experimenting.

----such a great balance between the dreamy, ethereal reverbs & the intensity of the sounds and the motifs......love the darker, heavy underlying vibe of 3.......4 is so trippy - love that filter work, (the sequence seems a little bit reminiscent of 'On The Run') .....5 feels very light and yet deep......

I really cannot make up my mind on what delay to buy, Sarajevo, Nautilus or Mimeophon, they are super different I know ....what's your tip? Awesome video, this is exactly what I love innterms of sounds and athmosphere, dark but ethereal, analogue feeling.

Thanks :) What are you looking for in a delay? Is it using it as a "classic" delay effect? Or more like a looper? Is it to add color, or to be clean and to the point? Let me know, and I will try to help you. I have experience with quite a few delay modules...

@@MyModularMusic thanks for your reply. I don't like digital sounds, like I have listened to quite a lot of reviews and for example Nautilus sounds a bit too digital to me but it might also be just because of the sounds that the delay is processing. like these 5 patches that you did here are fantastic and are pretty much what I'm aiming for. I got the Tiptop Buchla vco with the quad generator, I will add another sto as vco, I have a doepfer lpg and wave folder for shaping, karie filter and the direction I am going is what you do here basically. Let le know!

Oh man! It is so good to hear and see some new music on the Fungi channel. These are all brilliant. The patch notes are pure gold for me, much inspiration there. Glad you made an EP from them as well, it is really excellent to have these in a nice audio recording 🔥🔥🍻🍻
