I'm so happy that your daughter is well after being born early. my youngest was brought early at 31 weeks at 2 pounds. 33 days in NICU, she came home the day after Christmas. almost 3 pounds ten years ago. hope and gratitude from then reminds me to keep perspective. thank you for sharing your and your family's life with us.

I’m from the Azores (Portugal), and I have followed your story for 1 year now! You are such an inspiration to me, your faith and what you went through against the mob risking your own life for your wife and family! I actually had an oral presentation at school last month (we could talk about whatever subject we wanted), and I talked about the mafia, using all the knowledge you have given us about the true horror of the life, and also spoke briefly about you in that presentation as a survivor of that life and how inspirational your story is! I was actually in the U.S. Coast Guard assigned to Rockaway Station when that crash occurred .. We provided support along with the N.Y.P.D. Harbor Patrol and the U.S. Park Place .. You’re absolutely correct when you say it was a horrendous tragedy ..

I helped with a rescue effort immediately after a tornado tore through a nearby neighborhood....and when I say tornado I mean there was a school bus literally picked up and dropped in the middle of a house...... I saw things I wish I could forget but it definitely stays with you....that was 20 years ago and I remember it like it happened last week....

Michael, I agree with others who say you deserve to have millions of followers. You survived very difficult, soul crushing situations and betrayals... then took responsibility and turned your whole life around with the help of your spiritual community. This takes a man who is a tower of strength. You have humility, intelligence and kindness...and you make a person feel that they could come to you with any issue, get good advice and not be judged.

I lost my wife 3 years ago to freak accident she had a brain aneurysm out of nowhere 32 years old .now its just my son Michael jr. Yup lol and myself and boy ill yell there's day's where a 20 minute video weather it be a mob story mob movie Monday or just a heartfelt story about your family I enjoy it all and it will cheer me up so very much .there have been times where it really turned my whole day around. You are a walking energy bomb, at the age of almost 70 years - your actions and mindset is of a young person - full of energy, but with huge experiences. That plane crash story must have left an impression on all who responded to it. When I was a kid living in 5 towns my father always told me about the "plane crash in '75 on Rockaway Boulevard". He said it was absolutely horrendous, bodies everywhere just like Michael described. It's kind of surreal hearing it described in the same way with just about the same accent. (Dad responded as a Fire Captain with the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department. One of the first rigs on the scene along with FDNY E314 and MPFD)

I must say I truly appreciate your honesty. It takes a lot of courage to speak truthfully the way you do. Thank you. I agree blood is not thicker than water, which is sad, but fact. My best friend and I have been best friends since birth, literally. 52 years. Our Moms were best friends when we were born. My best friend and I both have family we no longer speak to for various reasons but she and I have held strong no matter what. Worst/scariest experience in my life: my first daughter died. It’s a nightmare I’d not wish on my worst enemy.

Mr. Franzese, I commend you for your wise words. Being a man. All I kept saying was"yep, yes sir, absolutely." I've been called a man's man and at first I didn't like being called that then I heard you describe your father as a man's man. I'm ok when someone says that about. The way you describe it opened my eyes. I dont take crap from anyone and I can handle business if necessary. But I also have compassion for other human beings. I will step up to defend a womans honor, I will defend the elderly against being bullied as well as any underdog being bullied. Thank you for your insight and thoughts. I feel better about myself now
