The stepwell heater is the most powerfull heater in the entire bus from the factory.

Glad you enjoy your beautiful bus build. No matter what you have, there will always be minor issues. Enjoy!!

You could use transparant self levelling epoxy to fix the problem with the tiles.

buy a couple inexpensive transmission radiators ... I suspect you capped off the old heater lines ... connect in the radiators with some pex and some shutoff valves ...

Just found your channel, super impressive, especially how everything fit together. I presume you used a CAD program to lay everything out beforehand?

And also, not having DEF on that bus cut down your repairs incredibly, seriously, but having pre 2007 emissiins would have been optimal. But be glad you do NOT have epa 2011/2013 emissions with def.

So, what are the issues with DEF engines?

Great Video MnZ. You're first 2 regrets are 2 big ones that I hope someday when I get a channel going, I fully intend to discuss though. They've been on my list of videos to do for about 2 years now. Glad you guys are pointing out all the bad for other's too. I hate that you 2 have had the misfortunes you've had. However..... It is but isn't the year model of the bus. Yes, emissions come in on later busses. Just need to know which emissions you're willing to deal with. Typically, DEF is required on any bus build after 1/1/2010. For example, 1 of my buses is a 2010 Vision similar to yours. But it was built in 09/2009, so it DOES NOT have DEF thankfully. It's not a CAT engine either, so it DOES NOT have the ARD head that cost you a ton and other problems. Rule of Thumb on the CAT's. If you're going to have a CAT keep it 2006 or older and then you don't have emissions that other engines like the Internationals or Cummins has. My 2005 Vision has the CAT C7, but I do not have the EGR or EGR cooler that the DT466, Cummins, VT365's Mercedes etc has. However, So you just got the wrong year CAT. I do have to keep clean oil in my C7 since it is known for eating up HEUI pumps that take out the injectors too and you're looking at about $5000-$6000 for that repair, so if you have the CAT C7 and 3126 for that matter with the HEUI, keep your engine oil changed about every 7500 miles. DT466 is another one. Great engines all the way up to the WRONG YEAR of 2007ish when International went Maxxforce. JUNK JUNK JUNK. No Maxxforce. So early 2007 pre Maxxforce if you do international. No later than 2006 if you do CAT. I'm not afraid of the EGR and EGR Cooler on the Cummins up to 2010 if it's manufactured pre 1/1/2010 so I can avoid the DEF system. Normally, the Regen you're talking about is cleaning the DPF filter. You can go older that 2007 when it became mandatory on any bus. I don't dare use the big D word as in _elete but it can be done at your own legal risk. I agree to tolerate some emissions to have later model busses since it seems the 2003 and earlier, most of them, not all, but most of them have the not so wonderful AT545 Allison Auto transmission. There are some holy grail busses out there with totally mechanical engines, no computers, no emissions, and do have the good Allsion Overdrive transmissions, with stand alone transmission computer controller called a TCM, transmission control module, but to have the OD with lock up converter to keep the trans cool on long highway drives, you want a lock up converter, so will have to sacrifice having the controller. Just keep doing what you' guys are doing. I like that you're educating others along the way so they're NOT making the same mistakes.
