I just found your channel. I am a few weeks away from closing on buying an existing $1mm/yr restaurant. Similar background, engineering, operations manager now, I plan to keep my day job until I can buy another restaurant or small biz to have enough income to live and grow wealth. Also I loved the points about answering the questions in the prospect's minds. I think it was Robert Collier that said good copywriting should begin by _"entering the conversation already taking place in your prospect’s mind". I think your point about having photos of the kid's food is really spot-on! Parents rarely decide where to eat outside of how much of a headache it will be to get their kids to eat!

Great points Hengam! BTW I think it was Rosser Reeves that came up with the concept, but Dan Kennedy really hammers on how important it is to know your USP Unique Selling Proposition. The main concept is: Why should a prospect choose you over all of your competitors (including choosing nothing at all). What makes you Unique to customers? What do you deliver on that is important to customers that no one else delivers on? When you've identified this, you should be using it in most of your marketing.

I plan on opening a small restaurant in our small town of 600 soon. We have a gas station which is poppin' with the locals, and a brick fire pizza place. I am honestly 3 years or so out ( maybe 2 ) but I am trying to plan ahead and do all the research I can. I have a clear vision of what I want the menu and what I want the place to look like. I am a wedding photographer so it will be a transition! We have no hotels but we are about 20 mins away from a touristy town. Hoping it works! Thanks for the great advice!
