How cool. I got to take my Mom on an all expenses paid cruise to Alaska with a balcony. While we were gone, I had her house redone. New carpet, main floor. New Kitchen floor, new furniture the WORKS! When we came home after the trip of a lifetime, it made her life so much better after losing my Dad. I will never forget it. Less a year later, she died, but her life without my Dad was made easier. I will forever be grateful to my parents and the happy about the last thing I was able to do for my Mom.

That video really made me think about my own mom. She passed away 11 years ago today. In your video you said life is short, get out and do those things you always wanted to do. I just turned 60 this past Monday. I live alone and decided just over a year ago I wanted to take a trip. After watching yours and many other youtube videos I settled on Amtrak. Other than the small train at Disneyland, I have never road a train before. This past July, I took the Amtrak Thruway bus to Los Angeles. Took Amtrak from Los Angeles to New Orleans. Stayed overnight, walked back to the train station and took City of New Orleans train to Chicago. Spent the day walking around Chicago, and boarded the Train again (Empire Builder) to Portland OR. Stayed overnight there and took the Coast Starlight train back to So Cal. I was in a roomette the whole time, what a wonderful way to travel. Next year I am taking the train all the way to Portland Maine so I can take the Trolley tour and eat some fresh Lobster. Maybe some day I will run into traveling some where. Happy traveling and be safe...Mike from Las Vegas.

I took this train when I was around 9-10 year old. I remember loving this train ride because of the beautiful scenery. I wish I can see the scenery again

After my mother passed I knew it was Dads dream to go to Nashville. I booked a week. It was his very first commercial flight. And he had the entire passengers aboard laughing. upon liftoff in Oakland. In Nashville I'd booked the dinner cruuise / show on a paddle boat on Cumberland River, explaining we had just lost my mother. We were placed front row. And in a complete surprise the show lead singer was singing THE FUNKY CHICKEN Then pulled my extremely conservative Dad up to dance it. He gave him a short lesson with the dancers. He held his own quiet well flopping his arms at age 75. And I was off my chair on the floor laughing. Dad comes back to the table and says.......DID YOU ARRANGE THAT? Truly I really hadn't. And I thought I was in big trouble. But he never mentioned it again so I know he really enjoyed it. Life with our parents advancing age is a blessing
