Well I have used the first one, the scissors technique for a great magic effect called Ring Tower! Your version is very interesting, need to explore that 😊

First mechanism reminded me of an older technic set with a turquoise machine and a purple machine. They extended arms like that to punch targets on the other machine to eject the pilots.

You might enjoy one of Henry Segerman's video if you don't come frome there already. The 5th mechanism with the sliding racks in 3 axis. He just made it with only interconnected and purposefully shaped racks. No pinions. It's amazing to see, just like this one!

Honestly, the only thing I thought about was the reduction and the design of the three watch hands on the same axis. Maybe I'll assume the motor has constant 405rpm, but that's an interesting question.
