For those trying to learn these skills: wearing pads and helmet will help you learn way faster. Not only do they give youConfidence, but they keep you from bailing too soon. Additionally, they keep you from getting injured as much and therefore you don’t have downtime from trying to recover. I agree that It’s OK to start taking them off once you’ve mastered the trick.

Brilliant. Bowls are my thing. I mean I just carve round and get some grinds but I love it.. When you see someone skate like this though it really makes you realise how good you have to be to skate this well.

Cool vid homie. Been skating transition for 6 years and nobody ever told me loose trucks are better for pool skating, ive been tightening mine when going from street to transition and wondering why its so hard for me to turn stalls into grinds... lol

Your skating is one of my biggest inspirations right now, id love to be able to hit pools like that, starting to get it but all i have so far is slashes and carves in vert bowl, cant seem to get the lines right in pools though I always lose my speed.
@BigAlSkateTutorials

Big love homie! Appreciate you reaching out! Ya figuring lines out can be a long process, I think just trying to stay to wall is good and pumping up and down each wall really helps maintain the speed. As long as you have speed you can basically do any line you want. But will def be making more videos soon covering all that! Keep skating and going for it, you got it✊

@@BigAlSkateTutorialswheel size makes a difference as well from our heard in tandem with loose trucks. It's tough skating 54mm wheels with tight trucks in transition 😆 lol

Thanks Al, what a great hack! Let your shoulders guide you. You and Zack Dowdy have great tips! I have some bones 60mm Peralta wheels on the way! I'm looking forward to skating with them. I'm a street skater trying to improve my transition skating that's all...

Do you have any tips on falling in case you do hang up?
@BigAlSkateTutorials
2 жыл бұрын
Very good question. If you do hang up I’d say the best bet is to avoid an initial splat and usually hang up slams are head first so I think the easiest way for me personally is ticking and rolling. If I can get my arms in front Of me before falling I can use my arms to help me tuck and then roll out of the hang up, but hang ups happen so quick so it’s sometimes hard to react quick enough to save oneself. Hope that may help !
