In my state all you have to do is take an 8 hour course and pass a home visit- BEFORE the child gets there. Truth be told states like South Carolina just don’t have the tax dollars to keep up with the staff they need. Believe it or not, there are stricter standards by countries whom you want to adopt from than there are from state agencies, hand to god.

(For all the state knows that’s exactly what I’m doing- catching FOOD to eat!🙄) We need a license to drive, vote, catch fish … but ANY (and I do mean any), ANY damn body can not only have a kid, but foster a kid. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ And if I may get a little political, I’m gonna echo my comment I posted to this video… my best friend is gay. Her and her wife would be incredible parents. They’re two upper middle class, kind, generous, educated, law abiding, loving people who die before they ever thought of harming a child… but many of the southern states, including my own, would rather have trailer park trash like those first 2 murdering ass foster “parents”, than people who would actually parent like my friends. Yes, because I'm assuming prosecutors are going with the angle that she did not intentionally kill the child. Reckless homicide means she engaged in behavior that led to the death but that there was no intention behind it. It's sick because why would someone her size need to lay on top of a child for multiple minutes.

Six years for killing a child, what in all holy fu*k kind of punishment is that? There has to be something more they can charge her with because if she gets convicted & gets less time than that serious changes need to be made in Indiana. @@FlackinA2 for one, they can stack charges such as various child abuse charges and have them served consecutively. There are also a range of homicide charges hat come with much higher prison time than reckless. Reckless homicide are for things like if you are speeding, get into an accident and someone dies or you are just careless with a gun but had no intent. This was not the first time she beat this child & he tried telling people about it. He was obviously afraid of this women & she beat him to the point where it could be heard on someone else’s Ring camera. I can see throwing in reckless as a fail safe but this was at minimum a 2nd degree homicide.

Foster parents, if a child doesn't fit with your family or they're too much for you to handle, you can always call the case worker and have them removed. At least if you remove them from your house, they still have a chance at life. Case workers, listen to these kids. Yeah, some want to go back home because they feel more safe with their birth family, but sometimes, there's real concerns...
