I am always tempted by the True Black Tarot but have not purchased it yet, the only deck that I own from these second chancers is the Marigold Tarot. I love the Marigold, the linen card stock is lovely, it shuffles like a dream. And I don't mind having a few pip decks in the collection. The ropes in the ten of cups, the hangmans knot, is also used to tie up things to a post, like an animal or a boat, where the noose oart is around the post and pulls tighter if the water tries to carry the boat away from the dock. While most people would not use that many loops for the purpose of a boat, if you were worried about fraying you could. So you can think of it used to dock your boat at the end of a journey. It maybe an interpretation the creator did not mean for the image, but for me it's more fitting (end of a journey, or arrival at the destination) and less disturbing.

I love that interp for the 10 of cups!

I love this interpretation for the 10 of cups. Thank you sooooo much my friend 😭😭 it’s so helpful. The True Black cardstock is really contentious so I understand your hesitation.

Your Marigold (a deck I love) has a different box than mine - I don't love that kind of box either. I love Marigold. I think I'm going to try Mayfield's suggestion about separating majors/minors of Philosophy Cards. Thanks for sharing Casper! ❤😊

I’m going to try their suggestion too it sounds like it may help me connect with them. I love the Marigold too but I think the initial rough start made it hard for me to enjoy using it for readings, but so many comments on this video has made me feel much more encouraged to using it. Thanks for watching my friend ❤️❤️🙏🏼

6:40 I think you can interpret the bike as moving forward to new things/ideas - coming from tradition and adopting a modern approach. Similar to how during the British Colonization of South Asian countries, things like bikes would have been introduced as early as the 1890s.

Thank you so much!!! I love this interpretation and will make that card so much more palatable for me ❤️

The Philosophy Cards can sometimes be a bit hollow. Lately, I separate the Major Arcana from the Minor Arcana. When doing a spread with the Minor Arcana, I'll usually use one (1) card from the majors--can be random or one I choose--as a significator card. Helps a lot!

Thanks so much for that! I’ll read more into the major arcana and try that out - I think it makes a lot of sense because the Majors tend to have more oomph to them

I agree 💯 with true black - it's a cumbersome deck to use. And with Firefly, I just don't like the court cards at all. Thank you! ❣️

It’s sooooo thick :(

@@BoyDiviner I'm hoping his new deck is a little thinner. If It was like the Brady Tarot it would be perfect. For me that's the gold standard in card stock and size 💯

I do like the Brady Tarot but I am not a fan of rose petal finish regardless!!! Yes it seems like the Ephmere will be thinner - that’s why I decided to back it hahaha

@@BoyDiviner I love my rose petal finished decks 😶🌫️😬- But that's excellent - I do remember you mentioning that in your video actually.. anyway, I look forward to your walkthrough of the deck before I purchase it.
