Hi, how to practise to ensure my finger always close the fret while playing song?
@LaraMarkowitzMusic
Жыл бұрын
Hi Elvie, one way I like to practice is by facing a mirror. This way you can look at your finger placement without compromising your form by looking directly down at your fingers. Over time, as you build muscle memory your chord shapes and finger placement will improve. Thanks for the question!

Thanks. I noted that "inside right elbow" does not work for concert and soprano as hand position is too high up the neck now.

Adjustments can be made based on body type. I've played concerts and sopranos tucked inside my right elbow. It's ok to play higher than the sweet spot if it's more comfortable with a smaller sized instrument. Each individual can figure out what works best for them 😊

When you mention callouses do you mean like white blister looking Things? Cause I have blisters at the end of my fingertips
@LaraMarkowitzMusic

Calluses are different than blisters. While blisters are filled with fluid, calluses are formed when the skin hardens from pressing on the strings. Calluses make it easier to play for longer periods of time as they make the fingertips less sensitive. Thanks for the question!
