ESPN also keeps the GOAT debate front and center complete with alternative viewpoints and moving goalposts. As we speak, all he has to do is when 5 and become the All Time scoring leader with no context. They don't tell you there's plenty of guys who scored more than MJ that we don't even mention being better..because they aren't. They don't ask questions of the powerful, and when he's dunking on guys heads ( after taking 3 steps) at 50 they'll throw out the " he spends 4 million on his body" narrative. His extension is about long enough to insure his son a place in the draft higher than it would have been without the name. They cover his son more than that 7'3 French kid who Chet Holmgren the work when they matched up. How is that?. It's not like he saved the league like Magic/ Bird nor took it global like MJ he merely made the summer and team jumping a thing.

See this is the reason why most of us so called "old heads" dont rock with Lebron.. Personally what he does of the court i dont even follow so i dont even care do him off the court he has that freedom, But when it comes to the game of basketball, alot of his fans and symphatizers always without fail comes up with excuse after excuse for his performances and as to why he is still the goat or in the goat convo.. Like recently "Lebron is about to pass Kareem in points total which will make him the goat".. Im like how does that make him the goat? Grats to him if he breaks Kareems record but when u ask or say "Kareem reached that milestone faster so his achievement is still better" Here comes the excuses.. Lebron may have 4 rings but he has been out of the Goat convo for awhile now no matter how much people try to deny this.. The better question to ask is , Is he still a top 5 player and why? After that compare his impact to the game of basketball to players like Bill russell, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird.. Heck even Shaq.. Shaq has 4 rings too n 3peated once with him being the main man..

Stop with the China thing unless you, have asked all your friends and family to throw away their iPhone and stop shopping at Walmart. Contacted some of the Ceo's of hundreds of companies doing business with and making billions because of their dealings in China. My point is just about every one of us do business with China. And as far as Daryl Morey's apology if he was a man of his convictions, he would not of apologized, but he wanted to keep his high paying job. ie his money, so he shut up,

My friends in Hong Kong, who were big fans of Lebron, burned Bron’s jersey because of his comments about Hong Kong. I would never burn his Jersey at all…. Since I am never his fans. I don’t wanna waste my money to buy his jersey in order to burn it.
@gamechanger114

What exactly did he say about Hong Kong? Could you quote it verbatim?... I often find that people often make up things to not like Lebron. Unless someone is able to insert his specific quote I'm missing, to my knowledge he actually didn't say anything negative at all about Hong Kong. That's how you know the hate is real, in reality all these people hating on this guy and making baseless accusations are the actual real crappy human beings they keep claiming Bron is.
@waikit828
2 жыл бұрын
@@gamechanger114 baseless? He told Daryl Morey to get educated for talking about free Hong Kong. If you know nothing about what happened to Hong Kong, you have no idea what the hate is about. The hate is not about his reputation on the court, his ignorance is something we the Hong Kong people hate about
@gamechanger114
2 жыл бұрын
@@waikit828 Yes, baseless. Why, because you cannot insert his verbatim quote. I know exactly what he said verbatim. You put your own spin on what he said, he actually didn't even "Tell" Daryl Morey to do anything as you so claim he did. And of course he didn't say anything about Hong Kong or it's people either. The words "Hong Kong" never even came out his mouth. I don't think you or your friends understand the complete situation of why he even bothered to make a comment in regards to Daryl Morey. Reason number 1. NBA teams including him and the Lakers were in China at that time. Daryl Morey's tweet could've potentially put all their lives in jeopardy too just to show Daryl Morey and the NBA who is boss. And if something like that were to happen, it's not farfetched that it could've escalated to any unnecessary military war between two countries. So, if you actually listened or read his verbatim quote, without putting your own spin on it you'd realize this. If you only look at things through your perspective you never see the full picture. Reason 2. The NBA briefs their players and staff that were going to China how to conduct themselves (what they can say, and what not to say). Daryl Morey probably wasn't "educated" in the matter since he wasn't actually there... Now, knowing all the information if you have a gripe with anyone it should be with NBA as a whole. Not a single person that's just trying to survive with his team while a target got put on his back because of Daryl Morey's tweet. And people like you or your friends wanting him to outright protest is ridiculous. It's sad what the people in Hong Kong were going through, but that is not on him. Frankly, I could care less what Lebron supports as long as he's not saying anything disrespectful then he's not at fault. I'd have a different opinion if he were to say something like they deserve it or that he supports the chinese government, but he didn't and doesn't it's just not his fight. And, I'm sorry if you can't understand that concept. The people that hate Lebron seem to believe he can walk on water and fix everything if he makes the right choice, he is just a regular human and sometimes there is no right choice but just options. And not saying anything while he was there was probably the best option for the safety of all the NBA players there and not causing an "International Incident" which sounds like you would've preferred that to happen. Just my opinion I don't think Lebron was or is, interested in being a Martyr at least not because someone made an untimely tweet and now he has to do the rest and become the figurehead. The situation was handled exactly how the NBA wanted the situation handled.

This is shady as hell. Call out a journalist to be fired because of a joking column she made. Where is free speech when he acts like he care so much about the black life matters and freedom. I am having a lot of respect for KD now because at least he was upfront about his issues however stupid he is. I have been a Lebron fan for a long time. But the way he manipulated the narratives to further his narratives disgusts me. He is definitely not the greatest of all time. This guy stays sneak dissing Lebron in every video he mentions his name. It was only inevitable he'd dedicate an entire video with a bunch of negative accusations that aren't proven by any means. Shady agency? An agency that for the most part gets their clients exactly what they want. Someone making an accusation he tried get them fired?Yeah, because people never make false accusations without any actual reciepts that can verify it was true. ESPN covering for him? What exactly are they covering, fans that don't like him coming up with PED accusations. Unlike fans that don't like Lebron, a company/media source literally cannot make an un warrantes accusation like that against anyone. That is defamation of character, and a very big lawsuit. Him choosing not to speak further on certain political views? I may be crazy for saying this but he can speak on whatever he feels he should be speaking on, nothing more, nothing less. He is not a politician, it is not his job. However, as person like anybody else if he feels strong enough about something he has a right to voice his opinion... I genuinely don't understand why there are so many people that fantasize about making Lebron out to be a bad person, not have morals, or doing performance enhancing drugs. Those are all "accusations" coming from "petty fans" that just don't like him, simply because he's better than their favorite player. Instead of just saying he's good, but not that good in their opinion and keep it moving. Instead they got to up the anti with ridiculous accusations attempting to defame this guys character with zero actual evidence substantiating the claim.

What you said about him speaking on what he wants is also true for rockets guy. But lebron said he shouldnt? That he wasnt educated enough on it? And why? Because we can be hurt financially was the 1st thing he said. Then spiritually ( which to me is enough to convict him of being a complete idiot) so i wonder what not speaking about Hong kong does for their spirituality and finances? I always liked allen Iverson on the court. Guy was fastest player ever.I never tried to defend the bs he said. I dont get these worshippers of sports guys.
