I've been throwing stuff at people on the stairs to knock them out since, like, right before Hitman 2 came out. sure, it's annoying, but, it's not like you don't have a clue about what's going to happen before you do it. you already know the karate chop is coming out.

I know it's not for everyone, but I do like the loud guns and explosives. Doing kill everyone challenges, or just running around and causing chaos is great fun. Hitman was never meant to be played as SA only game. The older games usually had pretty heavy weapons - in Contrats, there is a friggin minigun.

I just completed a "loud," playthrough of the trilogy and it was a hell of a lot of fun! I particularly enjoyed shooting up the German nightclub full of ICA assassins. Walking in like a fucking Terminator and mowing everyone down is not something I expected to get out of these games, but here we are.

It's always annoyed me that even with a silenced sniper rifle and being unspotted, NPCs somehow know exactly where the shot came from and you'll need to move on before the make a b-line right to you.

@@DT-Ranger Colorado is super crowded, with literally every npc being a guard and all. If another NPCs witness the target getting shot, they’ll search your location. But if you shoot them without anyone noticing, they won’t come searching your spot after they find the body. I hope that makes sense. Just make sure no one has sights on your target when you pull the trigger

@@DT-Ranger If you shoot more than 1 shot, they will come running to that location. And you can use that information to your advantage. I like to think of it as hearing the weapon, as a silencer isn't "quite" in real life. But for game play purposes it's needed.

I miss some features in blood money that aren’t in the trilogy. 1. Human Shield obviously. 2. Random silent kill animation (ex. Knife, he just quickly slits the throat, stabs the neck, multiple stabs in the back). It adds inconsistency for every run, and thus adds a little difficulty. 3. Automatically knows where the sniper is, and won’t give up on that location if you didn’t move away, whats the point of sniping spots if you’re automatically cornered if you use it. 4. Hiding something in a portable item. Ex. Hiding a gun in a cake in the ship level. 5. Using a syringe to poison foods 6. Carrying food to targets. Sure Agent 47 can prepare the food, then he has to ring a bell or wake up a sleeping npc so that the npc will bring the food to the target.

1: Human Shields would be cool to have for a more actiony approach, but ultimately as a stealth game I doubt they're that necessary most of the time. So in general I'd say they would be neat but not necessary. 2: Random kill animations, if they all take the same time and produce the same amount of noise I approve, otherwise not. Adding an RNG element to silent kills where you might be trying to pull a well-timed assassination but get the longer animation over the shorter one and get caught over it sounds incredibly annoying. 3: Agreed, I've always hated having all the guards immediately rush over to where I shot from. Having an estimate as of where the shot came from judging from the point of impact on the target makes sense, but being able to pinpoint the EXACT location just makes no sense, especially with a suppressed sniper, I at least can overlook it if you fire a loud one but that's ridiculous. 4: Completely agree, it was even in 2016's beta, where NPC could unknowingly smuggle them for you, it'd add a very nice element, especially when dealing with frisk zones. 5: If that was the case, poison vials would be completely pointless as you could do with syringes what vials can do and more. That I can understand as gameplay beats realism. 6: It could definitely work on a handful of targets. The closest thing you can do now is serving people, potentially the target, when they're nearby. Being able to do that with Zaydan instead of relying on the waiter, or Yamazaki with the fugu, delivering it to her room, or Ingram's food instead of just having him pick it up himself would work nicely.

Plus, this idea of Hitman being exclusively a stealth game is some bullshit. 47 used to dual wield Silverballers. 47 massacred the asylum's army of Mr. 48 clones. He killed everyone at his "funeral" that The Franchise set-up. I feel like ioi is just scared people will compare things to Absolution if they actually allow more loud options that were kinda, always part of this series (human shields were introduced in Blood Money but still).

@@olliegoodatgolf The Punch glitch happens when you intend on subduing someone but if you press the square/x button right before the game shows you the "subdue" prompt, Agent 47 proceeds to punch the NPC and ruining your stealthy approach.

I hate the different rules for npcs mechanic - When an NPC runs through a hostile area without problem to fetch a guard because they have found a discarded weapon or something and do not get any hassle from the guards like 47. In theory a tourist NPC guy in Sapienza can run all the way through a mafia controlled mansion and into the secret bio weapon lab to tell a heavilly armed mercenary that he had found a gun in the street then casually stroll back to work, where 47 would have been shot to pieces . Another is the fact that 47 can add one more body to an already huge pile of found corpses when the guard's back is turned, but when he turns back he can tell that there is one more body so we get a "body found" notification. Guards can only pick up and stash one gun at a time too - that's funny. Ah, I got loads. Still fun though.

Yeah, I hate that too. It honestly doesn't make any sense at all! I also hate that most targets have "basic NPC AI". Like, for example all the colorado ones: Why are 4 trained militia leaders who lterally walk past guns all the time afrid if anywhere near them an explosive of gun goes off? Why are they fearful if they find a gun? Or the elusive target "the rage"! That guy can talk like a second earlier about how sick and strong you need to be, how you may feel nothing and be the toughest guy around, putting your enemies in wheelchairs and graves and then he sees a gun and rins past the guy he just hyped up and tells his guards you scared he is after which, if any of the guards spot you, he will cower behind a wall of guards. I get Jordan cross and similiar non-mercanary targets, those guys are untrained civilians who are just absolute bastards but aren't exactly the mightiest of foes. Why cant those super hyped up mega-fighters actually put up a fight? But yeah, the thing with NPCs basicly being allowed to be anywhere annoys me to no end. Especially that guards and any other NPCs dont need to use the key card slider, their actual guns or even an earpiece! If I knock out a guard, I'll be able to pick up their weapon, if they get woken up and spot me, they materialize a gun out of nowhere and shoot me while I still have their original one in my hand. If I knock them out again, they wont drop a gun... why cant I make sure that larer on fights wont be absurdly difficult if I mess something up, by taling the guns? Why dont they need to go and get ammo after shooting my barricade like a million times? Also, why can they just open any hidden doors that they know I'm behind, while I have to do some dumb puzzle or need a specific item? 47 is supposed to be the ultimate Hitman, a legend that is unknown to most people: Why can people see through my disguise if i wear a duit and am not in a trespassing zone? Also, why dont unseen silent kills of armed NPCs let you keep your SA? They are bad guys and will want to shoot you. 47 might not get paid for them, but they are potential risks on the mission. Kill them and they will be absolutely not able to tell anyone who you are, even if they saw you. Sorry, but thats just dumb. Another issue with the NPCs is that they can see through walls at certain times or somehow know that you aren't allowed in certain areas. I get that a clown might raise some suspicions, but if I am some dude who walks aroubd like a regular guy in a place were other regular people walk around and a waiter sees me, they shouldn't be abke to tell that I'm a trespasser. Guards make sense to be able to do that, but not regular NPCs. Ladtly my biggest gripe: Elusive targets, just as a whole. I hate them and the concept in general

I like the rifles and shotguns because they allow you to do a fun shoot 'em up playthrough, like if you just wanna take out the field full of guards in Mendoza for fun. Also the explosives do have different uses, and their whole point is that you can eliminate someone or a group of people from super far away, like you can be at the exit, then suddenly your well placed proximity explosive killls the last target and you get to escape the mission before they even realise you were there. They are designed for either fun, or if you study a targets map hard enough then they could be real useful

Accidental KO’s on targets are the ones that remove SA, which isn’t necessarily a bug, it’s just an added difficulty to target isolation.

yeah he had me super confused on the last one. when i saw him put the sedative in the tank i knew the reason he no longer had green guns was because janus or cassidy was inside and was knocked out. this isn't a problem though as everyone else was as well, so you come in quietly eliminate, hide body, and boom you are still SA (green guns)

I'ma be honest, the last point doesn't necessarily kill creativity. It IS a speedrun killer though. I think part of becoming creative in the game, for me, is losing my perfectionist mindset while playing. Coming up with a plan and just rolling with it when things don't work out how I hoped makes the game a lot more exciting. Like just last night I was playing and decided to drop a chandelier to get a double kill on non-targets because, in that moment they both had items I needed, and I saw that this would be my best opportunity to get them both without raising suspicion. You don't react in moments like that if you strictly stick to pulling SA in every single run

Something I've always hated is crowds. I play with mods pretty often, and crowds annoy me so much. the 4 reused scared screams and distressed noises piss me off, its a slog to move through them, and they just annoy me beyond belief when I'm trying to have fun.

I can definitely relate to the security camera thing. I was in Bangkok doing an SASO and i got caught by a security camera and it was frustrating trying to destroy the evidence but eventually i did it and beat the mission.

I need to disagree with the rifles and unscilenced items maybe the explosives but the most fun I had was running in with a rifle throwing a flash and clearing a room with the target (also some chalanges without silenced weapons are pretty fun and having one made by your brain is even more) If anyone wants to do silent assassin you may forget about guns fully I mostly used guns as a distraction when I did silent assassin (also I strongly recommend doing silent assassin once or for a challange but don't tryhard it everytime you play the game can be more fun when heading for a 3 or 4 star score)
When you hide a body in a bush then reload the save only to have it fling out and break Silent Assassin

Getting caught on camera is annoying, but to be completely fair that one is always on the player for not being careful enough. Though I'll agree erasing the evidence on Bangkok in particular is a bitch, especially Suit Only. I have grown to be frustrated at Escalations. It's mainly the inability to save during them, really. I hate restarting when I'm so close to finishing. I really only bother with them for completion and unlocks. Useless items, ehhh. I find pointless reskins that do the exact same as the original version more annoying than anything else, but if an item is unique enough in functionality or looks I'll give it a pass, as everyone knows the "Mk II" items are by far the worst offenders. Silent Assassin may be the way the game leans the most towards doing, but it isn't the only way. Removed features, I mean I wasn't there in Hitman 2 for Ghost mode, or co-op Sniper Assassin, so I can't say for sure about those. What I hate is Elusive Targets, because I've always despised time-restricted unlocks in games. Arcade mitigates it a little bit but not entirely, as you still can't get the ET unlocks like suits there and thinking it'll hit a point where they stop being rolled out and anyone coming into the game after that will never be able to get those grinds my gears. I mean, if the game glitches and you lose Silent Assassin for no reason yeah, that's frustrating, but I'd extend that to anytime the game completely glitches, NPCs seeing you or a body through solid objects (cough Haven cough), not reacting at all when you are trying to distract or lure them or having their sequence glitch out so they just stand in one spot doing nothing. I swear that just sucks.

2:59 Yes, and this is the same series known for 47 dual-wielding his silverballers and taking human shields. There's also been several occasions when you can use explosives and they still net you SA throughout the entire franchise. Going loud as an option has always been part of Hitman. You wouldn't have health items in Blood Money or body armor with the SWAT uniform equipped in Contracts (or an unlockable minigun) otherwise.

these are mainly just problematic issues if you're obsessing over Silent Assassin - just treat it like Freelancer and run your ass out of the level. you'll get your XP. of course, some unlocks require SA, so, these become more common issues.

1:27 on escalations it is really annoying that i have to do them AGAIN because they didn’t carry over when i transferred to hitman 3 especially as i already have all the item rewards from them edit: also can we just have normal multiplayer co-op, and i wish they didn’t remove some items and nerf items hugely especially if a FEATURED contract uses an item that got nerfed so the contract cant be done the same way(cough cough molotov)

If a ranking is the only thing stopping you from playing the game the way you want to. You probably should reexamine why you're even playing Hitman, as Silent Assassin doesn't really matter outside of a couple achivements.

My 5 hates: 1. The way 47 walks when holding his pistol in Hitman 3. WHY DOES HE ANGLE IT THAT WAY!? Why does it look so weird? And why couldn’t IO have kept it like Hitman 2, which was PERFECT! 2. Wall glitches, particularly on Haven Island. Seriously, I’ll knock everyone out in the lab, yet big boss 4 floors up will somehow see that. 3. Losing SA with accidental KO’s. Used to work 100% of the time in Hitman 2, then IO did and update where it worked 0% of the time, now it just happens at random times. 4. Trying to time NPC movements perfectly, missing it, and then having to wait a long time to repeat their cycle. 5. THEY GOT RID OF THE ELECTRIC PHONE! WHY? I don’t care if it was for balancing, this ain’t a multiplayer game. NPC’s don’t care how OP weapons are. If it’s an effective tool for 47 to assassinate targets, he should be able to use it.

You need to check out Peacock for Hitman. It is a mod that allows export of contracts to a local machine. To be clear, for now it requires network connection to verify the license of the game to avoid piracy. However, the idea is to build up a contract database for when servers are shut down. With my experience with the game, Epic requires always online for everything in the game. When I used H1 and H2 on Steam, only the contracts and progression required a player be online. I got so fed up with Epic that I went back and bought H3 on Steam. I haven't installed the Steam version yet, but I'm looking forward to using it along with Peacock. Check it out on their Discord server.

I am going to list all of the solutions: 1. Reload the save file 2. Don’t play them if you don’t like them 3. It isn’t really a problem. The more items the better, it’s a game, you suppossed to have fun, it’s not built around you doing only saso runs like a maniac. Go ahead and remove destroyable throwable ideams and there you go, you have just killed the hitman speedrunning community, those items are essential for speedrunning 4. Having to 'scroll' the mouse or controller to the far side of the screen to go to the next page, instead of just a 'next page' button. Also multiple reskins of something like lockpicks taking up multiple squares, essentially a quarter of the items on screen in some cases, instead of just having one lockpick option with a 'change skin' option when you hover it. Some of these design/UI decisions are like Xbox 360 era or mobile game type shit, for no reason

With the Dawood Rangan kill you showed, he gets red guns bc he isn't killed by fall which would classify as an accident and therefore count as red guns. He gets classified as out of bounds and therefore dies. oob kills aren't accidental and therefore if his body is found you get red guns.

I understand with some people why non-suppressed weapons are useless, but when you want to bend the rules and try to be stealthy, with one can be really fun and challenging and defies the rules of traditional hitman

So let's be honest... playing the later half of H2 and first half of H3 as co-op with 47 and Grey would be something people would pay to be adapted... Heck, I'd love a co-op contracts mode. Doesn't need much work. Can have separate leaderboards.

The Iceballer is a silenced pistol... I use it on the regular. It's probably the most cool looking gun besides the Goldballer. The Iceballer got me a PR for Sapienza which is 1:24.

The Escalations are fun. Hard, but fun. The loud weaponry could be used as an distrection, however there are more important in a kill everyone challenge. The gamemodes are a strange typ. I like the Sniper mission of the mobile-game, however the rest are only for a smaller group of player in my opinion. The camera sees you in the last second almost killed my Elusiv-Target. The accidental take outs or instant location of firing shot's are the worst typ. Sniper assassin with silent assassin is only possible if you close range shot the target, which contradict the use of a sniper.

The most annoying thing for me in these hitman games is that everyone treats 47 differently. Only he is the one who gets frisked, only he is suspect number one, when there are plenty of people around. Also enforcers are bad addition, which forces you to always run around while croucing, looks so awkward and out of place. Otherwise you gonna become suspicious, but most of time you can easily just run around several rooms and they forget about existence of imposter inside their base. Also when they see you poisoning their boss's drink, you could run around several rooms and they will forget about you.

I agree with your last gripe more than any of them, and I agree with them all. Say you get Silent Assassin, Suit Only, and you pull off a super slick run but you DON'T do any Challenges or Mission Stories throughout the run; mediocre score; the bars in the score section literally BARELY move a millimeter. NOW do a horrible run, kill guards, get spotted, no SA, no Suit only, but you do a few mission stories and a few Challenges within the run; way better score, bars still skyrocket full at the end during scoring.. this entirely removes any feeling of creative freedom within the game's design, and it defeats the purpose of figuring anything out on your own. You're so right when you say "you play this game IOIs way or you don't play at all.". Never a truer sentence.

We don't really need to worry about the servers shutting down. There's Project Peacock, which is aiming to make the servers obsolete. Last time i checked, it still missed features like progression, so everything is just unlocked, but the devs did say even then that, if IO shut the servers down tomorrow, they would have everything they need to finish development and add every single feature it's missing as of then. Now, you do still need to connect to Steam or Epic, but i figure if that ever becomes an issue, we'll have another workaround for that.

Loud, stupid and crazy weapons plus goofy suits are why World of Assassination succeeded so much. If BigMooney, Achievement Hunter, CallMeKevin, Outside Xbox and other chaotic type let's play/streamers didn't push how crazy and fun it can be without being silent then the game wouldn't have picked up steam in the same way. As for Ghost Mode, nobody was playing it and became more frustrating due to troll players who would drag the mode out to anyone ever getting five points.

Sometimes I think IO does the exact opposite of what the audience wants out of spite, and when it bites them in the butt, they fold, and once they have a good hand, the cycle repeats. WoA is great, but it could've been so much better if they weren't so stubborn for a lot of things.

Five - I get Bangkok, it's mostly game over for your SA if you don't want to spend ages getting safely into that One Room. But Marrakesh? That camera room in the consulate is basically given to you. One sleepy guard and two easy exits. Easy!

they fixed the sedative thing i think i did a saso run of haven like 2 weeks ago where i just got the 3 targets in the basement and sedative poisoned the entire thing and i didn't lose green guns at any point

I think they should just do multiplayer. 2-4 coop and 2-8 vs. Choose any mission even elusive and fan made contracts a few additional adjustments can be made to the round via menu options like respawns or like randomize a few more npc targets if u want. Once each player chooses equpment, suit and starting location u begin. Once each NPC target and/or enemy player is killed then the surviving players can escape via the nromal exits, boats or cars once used become unavailable to other players. Other assasins are like bonus points or maybe can steal points or credit enemy players earned so far, by killing them. Sure starting locations would make things unfair for some and each match will prolly devolve into shootouts between players and guards. But itll be fun to try. I feel like i could program the additional menus myself, map layouts would remain the same.

I'd completely be down for a co-op mode. 2 players sounds good enough for me, being able to split up and take on targets, or have one do distractions while the other slips through, there are so many possibilities.

i think you're underestimating how hard something like this would be to implement. they'd have to probably completely rewrite the way mission stories work (Could each player do the same mission story independently?), and how the suspicion system works (e.g: what happens when an enforcer recognizes you, but then a second player walks by that they also recognize?). PVP also seems like it would be a nightmare in this game. and then they have to add in proper networking (which, yes, they did do for ghost mode, but it didn't really work well). In other words: If it were that easy it would be done.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense, as much as I might dream of co-op myself (PvP I just don't really care about) I know it would be an absolute nightmare to add so it'll probably never happen. At best one could hope for some crazy modder to do a half-working version of it, and even then it's reaching for the stars there.

@@dcr645 I wouldnt recommend coop for story mode and dont think it should be applied there at all, wouldnt make sense to consider either. These games have been more about the replayability anyway tho, toying with the maps again and again. In game story events get triggured when a player approaches, those can remain. Assuming npc's react to their most recent or closest threat, that wouldnt have to change either. I was actually kind of impressed with ghost mode, running two maps at the same time, in like a race ocasionally trying to affect the others world. I havent seen that before. Was like the most ceative idea for the best attempt at a fair and balanced competitive mode for a game like this for sure. Thats why I think they dont do it is because simply dropping multiple people on a map as they are rn would be messy, trying to prevent chaos that would inevitably break out across the map here and there. Sounds like fun tho to me. Ive seen a little bit of multiplayer modding for hitman and it looks like there having a good time.

The npc that gets their body glitched, getting out of your hand forcing you to walk back and re drag them. The NPC that sees through 47's SUIT FOR NO REASON. Mumbai refrences this saying that they look for hitmen, and stay alert looking for people they dont know, BUT WHY DO THE OTHER NPCS ON THE OTHER MAPS SEE THROUGH.

Tbf, pc players can use the peacock self hosted server mod to get all new and old elusive targets back and have as many attempts as they want and the same mod can be used to get ghost mode back along with some form of custom targets, not too sure abt that. It also obvly by passes the entire server requirement for almost anything including freelancer, scores etc.

Especially with those sedatives and traps you mentionned, its weird that if a guard sees you put some lethal poison on someone drinks, that person dies, and they go "well that was an acident, i coundnt have predicted a killer on the premises!", im not saying that they should remove SA if you do it that way, but why knock out targets eliminates SA?

Hold on I just got silent assassin on whittleton creek and I sedated all the guards in the house with the ventilation system as shown in the video. Why DIDN'T I loose it? I was playing on professional difficulty if that makes a difference.

How about when the guard ai suddenly knows where you are from half way acrossed the map and or what your doing and just rushes to get you I've had this problem way too many times to count and it annoys me everytime it happens they didn't even shoot the people just shout and they somehow hear it a floor down and half way across the building

I thought they fixed the sedative and keeping silent assassin. During the elusive target Mr. Giggles. I use the sedative bubblegum in order to get the guest list from the woman and every time I do it and she gets knocked out, I keep SA.
