Having seen so many videos about why it sucks to be a doctor, this vid feels like a breath of fresh air. Tired of hearing all the time that being a doctor is miserable. But Like many things in life, there are good and bad aspects to it.

I think there has been a lot of negativity around working in healthcare and as a med student i was feeling so unmotivated or feeling like maybe i’m on the wrong path. But this video actually reminded me of why I started in the first place and it was really nice hearing the good aspects of this job.

From my experience working alongside consultant surgeons and anaesthesiologists, I think that separation of work & home becomes harder to achieve. Being the leader in a patient's surgery or anaesthesia means you are the first point of contact when something goes wrong, especially after their surgery and I have seen many consultants being called back hours after they left to tend to a patient who is deteriorating

Being a doctor who listens to their patient is so important. I left aged care nursing and started cardiac nursing. I work with 3 cardiologists in a clinic. Watching these doctors work and speak to the patients is just so heartwarming. It’s so scary for a patients when they suddenly have an issue with their heart, they need that reassurance that they are going to be looked after. You are going to be an amazing doctor

I am about to start my clinical years. It is unbelievable how I am excited to start seeing patients and see the disease in front of my eyes instead of just looking at books in the last 3 years of my life where I think I have lost many of my mental health. It is crazy when you stay in the same room just studying with zero social life for three years

i dont usually comment on youtube but i just have to say this. this channel has been with my through some of the biggest and most important moments of my life over these last 3 years. from watching your productivity videos in hs and falling in this trap of romanticising studying without doing any real work to really working my a** off preparing for my country's medical entrance examination with your study with me playing in the background, it has literally transformed me and subconsciously also helped me choose medicine as a career. today, i received my letter of admission for MBBS from a medical school and it starts from september. thank you for everything nasir.

Side from this i just wanted to say thank you so much, you will never know how much for videos about UCAT, interviews and the whole application process helped me, let’s not forget all the motivation ones as well! Although I am a final year med student, I was afraid that medicine is hard and I will suffer in working as a doctor, you helped me to motivate and keep studying hard for that "thank you" or prays from my future patients insha'Allah. (I watched a lot of videos talking about leaving medicine and maybe that fears is because of their effect 😅)

what I personally don't like about the question "how are you" is that you have to say "I'm fine" so If you can't give a different answer what's the point of the question? and when you are having a bad day you don't wanna say I'm doing good but that's probably cultural thing

So interesting. Also like is there just endless computations that winds up being more work for the okay support. It kinda of suggestive but like there's this over marketing of options but maybe its just well what is science support. Also can u do a video on babies and newborns. My sister just had a baby and is there anything to watch for to just know signs of good interactions.

From my perspective working in an Austrian hospital, i would absolutely hate it if someone asks me "how are you?" if i don´t personally know the person. It just feels fake in my opinion and i want to know why i am getting called, and not answering a question i never intend to answer honestly to a stranger. Americans often use it in the same Phrase like "Hello, how are you?" And it just feels weird and useless for me.
