Great video! Can definitely relate to a lot of the things you said. Persistence is definitely key; always keep learning, practicing, and researching. my best successes in infosec came from being informed about the subject and having incident context, experience and practice in executing tools and procedures, and researching and filling any knowledge gaps as they come along. And you're so right about Google or any other osint; it's great to see what other people say about a topic or issue, but it should always be looked at critically. Some answers are bad, some outdated, and some non-existent. Definitely reach out to colleagues and peers you respect and trust when things don't make sense after doing your own initial research, sometimes it can save you a world of pain and frustration.

So oone thing i can say about sec plus is look for a book on tape and listen to it while you drive, as far as python, im learning it, the only way to learn is to write something. its going to suck and it wont be easy to wrap your head around things untill you do it. learn basic and then jsut write a program. I learned the basics and then did rock paper scissors first without functions and the second version with functions. I learned more doing it on my own then any book or video i read or watched.

I’ve been doing Cyber security for some years well it’s an interesting area and I’m generally talking about blue teaming..... yeah I think it’s time for me to leave the whole IT gig it’s boring too many idiots in the profession and I wouldn’t even call it a profession to be honest but for use young people stick with it you may have a much better experience than I ever did not saying it was bad just saying I got bored and burned out and it’s not as sexy as it’s made out to be either just bear that in mind. Jas I come from Computer science and cyber security background academically speaking as well as practically speaking. But I would recommend people in all honesty to find a proper profession to work in because the reality there’s just too many people with different skill sets different backgrounds trying to get what you’re trying to get and you don’t necessarily need a bachelors degree people that is a misnomer it’s more of a HR filter that’s it. Anyway Best of luck to all of you that really want to get into it.
@Hugo-ey3wc

What would you consider a proper profession then? I realized i don't want to be a software developer as i'm just a cog in the wheel and considered maybe going into IT security because i atleast feel that maybe this type of work would give you some sort of accomplishment knowing your stopping these data breaches and hackers from taking people's hard earned money which makes me feel like i'm giving back to the people in a way.
