What resonates with me most is the idea that we should focus on our strengths, and not retreat into safety and stability of the ordinary life. I think it might be easy (and very dangerous) for an INFP to look at other people and falsely believe that we all have similiar predispositions. That leads to acceptance and resignation... So recognising that we are *not* like everybody else, and we *should* embrace our abilities for the benefit of us and the society, is a powerful realisation.

I have been watching INFP personalities on KZitem and I am learning why people react the way they do to me. We are a bit strange. I find you and the other INFPs I see as a curious mixture of innocence and wisdom. Serious, shy, ernest, and a bit awkward. I find it endearing but some people must find it off putting. A person with a heavy mask must be confused by an INFP. The goal is to be authentic. To be true to who you are. That might be threatening to a person who hides who they are. And I think they sense that dispite their mask they put on for the world, we can see their hidden self. Or at least I think I do. After meeting most people I have a good guess at what they want. Of what they fear too. It seems easy to see. Is this part of INFP or is it me?

The people who make the most difference in the world tend to be "different". Everyone has something "odd" about them, but that's what makes being a human and connecting with other people so exciting. @hu3serinminor453

@@Ropewatch In my opinion, challenges are what bring the creativity out of people. And I don't believe that anyone is really "normal". Everyone seems normal until you really get to know them. I used to feel the same way, like no one in the world could understand me and that I just wasn't made for this world. But I've grown so much in ways that I never thought possible. So just be patient and don't give up. Trying to fit in never brought me any real joy. It made me feel much more lonely because no one saw who I really was. It's very hard to feel loved when you're not showing your true self and pretending to be something you're not. I hope that you find the courage to be yourself, even if it creates more obstacles. As my eye color belongs to me, also my sadeness does. So if something beautiful happens to me, I don't need to feel guilty or scared to lose that. In other words my pain is there and it's up to me if I want to use that. My soul is me and we demand loyalty and alignment to our truth. So "odd" sounds disparaging to me. I don't care how the 75% view it, because their analysis of my qualities is pathetically superficial and thus meaningless. This stance sounds a bit untenable when considering the challenges of life in the long run... But I'm quite a bit older than you, and have learned that strict loyalty to my inner compass has always guided me and kept me safe even when dealing with the practicalities of the NS power/social structure in work. "Shit rolls downhill" is one of those not learning from the past instances and has caused painful conflicts with superiors. But even when it cost me a job (being a female single parent 😱) it ALWAYS led me to a better professional opportunity that offered me more room for expansion and development of my knowledge base. Love the whisky fists! Yes... People are very surprised by it when it arises and cannot keep up, even college debaters. In my youth I studied mbti & enneagram, but it was zodiac signs that rang true when dealing with signs of my students that typically struggled with my personality type. Many infps are Sagittarius in some aspect, and my oldest daughter, being Cancer, taught me that my energy was often overpowering. So I would consciously give my Cancer students more physical space or lower my energy when engaging directly with them. Aquarians also are crazy rebels when teens... You should not escalate power plays with them or Aries, you lose your credibility and thus the ability to connect with them and guide them meaningfully...blablabla... Love your exploration of the inner universe! Shall we begin on the money topic.... 🤣😂😬😒

I'm enfp with an infp best friend for years now. For us there are two things that differ us and lead to not understanding each other as much as we could. 1. Fi vs Ne while talking with each other - each side focuses on their first function. 2. Emotions and moods - how infps are more prone to focusing on negative feelings and moods and showing them while enfps are not truly showing negative emotions and they keep it to themselves. I can't explain it well but it has sth to deal with how deep positive or negative feelings each side share with other side, if any is fakelly shallow - it's easy to spot on. I'm sorry for my English, I think I could explain it better but I've got not enough words. But anyway.. I think enfp-infp friendship is really precious so it's important to remember that there are things that still make us different. We think similarly but sometimes we forget to put ourselves in someone's else shoes.

Imo as an infp, I can seem very extroverted when talking about things im very passionate about, but I am def an introvert most of the time, because I need time to recharge and enjoy being by my self, but it wouldn't seem like im an introvert when you see me at a rave or festival ( when im in my element).
