If you are a new CFI there are unspoken rules and expectation that your Chief Flight Instructor will have for you. You will want to start on the right foot with your Chief Flight Instructor, remember that they can help you get into the Airlines with a recommendation letter. So, it is best to keep good relations with them. You never know when you will need it.
