Thanks for this information! I agree, lots of videos on how to install but none on taking it down. Good insight!

I always just put a piece of blue tape at the top & bottom of each stud (floor & ceiling/top of project area) for reference . A quick eyeball with a straight edge anywhere along the wall & you're'95% guaranteed to hit the stud 1st try.

Ya, that is a great idea and would totally work!

I love how you are thinking ahead...I always try to do that, which is what helped me find your video. Thank you for making this so clear and easy to follow. I will certainly do this; my future self (or future owners!) will thank me--and you! :)

Nice, hoping to use the same approach of a faux paneling and I’ll definitely heed (headed?) your warnings!!

Would it be possible to mount a TV to these or does the stud issue prevent that?

Marking the stud location on the floor and using a 6ft level to transfer onto the paneling is the best and easiest method.
@MistressMiona

This! I’d use painters tape and put a strip on the floor at each stud

I love my faux brick paneling and never want to take it down. My walls were always getting marked up and the paneling solved that problem.

Cool! We really like the herringbone pattern. We used it for the countertop in one of our rooms.

Gray House Studio Yes I seen that video and that’s where I got the idea for my back board for my dart board. Just pass time shooting darts I made three each has its own pattern. The middle one is the one I made herringbone after I seen your video. Cheers 🍻 from Spring Texas or Houston Texas

Do you have a video on how you installed them?
@GrayHouseStudio

Unfortunately, we don't have a video on how we installed them, but we posted a video on how we painted them. I measured the studs and used brad nails to secure the panels to the wall. Then, I caulked the seam between panels before painting.

They are from Home Depot. At the time they only sold awful looking red brick with black grout, so we repainted it. Now they sell several different styles. I think they are by the windows and plexiglass.

HAHA, I forgot I put that clip in there and was thinking you hated faux wood paneling. I think everyone can appreciate that feeling when you have to remove something you worked hard on. And ya, I wasn't as careless as maybe I made it sound.
