I’m sorry I couldn’t catch the type of business you mentioned that operates at taxes of 4% gross . Would you mind sharing again? Thanks

as someone who lives almost exclusively in Air bnb's, I hate the way so many governments are cracking down on them. making them illegal or making it very difficult for hosts.

Im scared to death to buy property in Colombia because i dont want to get scammed. I sold a house in new York city and put that money into a 5% savings account with capital one and use that interest to support my life and pay my rent in Colombia

Hey Cale, I was wondering what your thoughts are on the wealth tax that was just passed by Petro and the Colombian government? I live here outside of Medellín for 6 months out of the year and have just been renting an apartment for the last few years and traveling with the tourist stamp. I would like to live in Colombia full time and buy a property but this wealth tax is really worrying me. Your thoughts would be much appreciated

It looks like the rule change only applies to properties valued more than 1.000.000 peso. I understand the concern though because it seems like everything this administration does is to destroy business in the country. It is ironic to me they are coming out with a wealth tax, what wealth does colombia even have to tax lol. Rant aside I think if you're investing in tourism properties you will be fine. Medellin also seems to be much more immune than any other region to these crazy policies.

@@CaleMcMartindo you think the only wealth Colombia has comes from tourist that move there to open businesses? 😂this response shows how much you know about this place. I hope they start taxing people that come here to rip off benefits and to make everything more difficult to access for locals.
