I've done something similar with the squares. First, I put down heat resistant tape in the place where the square will be. Tape only needs to be added first and once. Put the first layer of the design down with the square on top the tape then press. Now, add each layer of vinyl putting the square on top the existing square until design it completed.

Hi! You’re right, press and seal isn’t the same as cling wrap. The hack in the video uses press and seal because it has a slightly adhesive quality that helps with transferring designs. Cling wrap might not work as well because it doesn’t stick as firmly. Hope this helps clarify! 😊

Clear contact paper from Dollar Tree works really good. If it's too sticky (most of the time it isn't but I have run into this), just apply it a few times to your shirt before you use it. Sometimes I get small bubbles when applying vinyl to a tumbler, so I'll take a hair dryer or my heat gun on low and warm up the vinyl being careful not to apply too much as you can melt the vinyl. Usually that gets rid of most bubbles and sometimes the next day they will be gone.

I use the registration shapes to place some adhesive vinyl layered projects too. Specially when I do something like - Script font names that are cut out of a large Last Initial. There are many different styles to do it in- but the only thing separating the larger Intial/Name and the script is a tiny empty offset. The two need to line up perfectly to look right.

Well the biggest reason to use alcohol wipes is to clean your surface specially of any naturals oils from our skin…. Which inevitably cooould cause bubbles anywhere your vinyl didn’t adhere very well. I feel like people say oh it’s not that important bc most times you may be able to finish your project and it would be fine. Specially if you are using individually wrapped products. Altho dependent on product, supplier and manufacturing processes there could potentially be some leftover residue from production and packaging at the factory that could cause issue. Which would be wiped away with alcohol. To me if taking two seconds to wipe down my surface can potential minimize issues or craft fails…. Why not take those 2 seconds!!

Hi There... Question - Painters tape - I was blown away! So cool. but what was the cow-boo-bats made of - ink from your printer? or vinyl cut from your cricut? I could not see that? And how are you going to see the boo?? Thanks - love your hacks! Roxanne from Utah😃
@DesignBundles

Hi Roxanne! Thanks for watching ❤ The cow-boo-bats were made using vinyl cut from my Cricut. I used a printer to print the design onto the vinyl, and then I cut it out using my Cricut. As for the boo, it's actually part of the design, so you can see it once the vinyl is applied on a white surface in this case 😊

Hack #2: What if you try using cling wrap and place the ink side down on the canvas? Is the idea to transfer the ink from the paper to the canvas?

Hi! The idea is indeed to transfer the ink from the paper to the canvas. The cling wrap helps hold the ink in place during the transfer. As for melting, it shouldn’t be an issue if you use a low heat setting. Just make sure to keep an eye on it to avoid any mishaps. Hope this helps! 😊
