Thank you for making this video. These were solid tips, and you explained them clearly and succinctly. My two cents on the colourless blender: ¢1: I don't use them often, but I know artists mostly use them to blend their lightest shade into the white of the paper. ¢2: Alcohol is really good for blending coloured pencils. Colourless blender markers are basically just alcohol. Ergo: they're super good for blending coloured pencils. ☘️

The Shinhan colorless blender is actually much better than Copic/Ohuhu. I don't know what's exactly different about it but it blends without bleaching. It smells very sweet to it might be beet/sugarcane ethanol rather than isopropanol like the Copic.

The colorless blender is useful for priming the paper when you will blend colors.

Thanks for the helpful video. I'd also add that if you sketch out your drawing first with pencil, make sure to go over it well with a gum eraser because too much graphite will smudge very easily under an alcohol marker and you can't erase it afterwards!

I’ve been told you shouldn’t have your markers standing up, but instead laying on their side as to not dry out dual tipped markers. Is this true?

It makes sense. Especially if you use both tips. Gravity would probably push the ink to the bottom. I actually store mine upright with the brush tip down since that's the side I mostly use. But you could always get one of those art supply books with the little rubber loops in them to organize and store them flat. I have a couple of those as well.

I'm not sure if you always store your markers where they are in this video, but that direct sunlight is not good.

How to apply marker? Hard or Soft?

More soft. I think a lighter touch will make your nibs last longer.

Impossible to get an even tone with an alcohol marker. They just dry too fast.

It can definitely be a challenge but possible if you have a full marker and are willing to put down a couple layers. Lighter colors are easier than dark.

Your marker still isnt full. Use a scale.. copic are supposed weigh like 14 grams when full or something similar to that. You cant even get a good blend with an empty marker
