Just when you think you’ve heard all Mr Milnor has to say on photography... He keeps dropping nuggets... Ty for the continued advise and inspiration...

Thanks to the both of you! Refreshing and inspirational. I have been off social media for a month now, and have felt more motivated to create, within my photography. I have printed, framed, and started getting my head into "indesign". I have also started playing in my photo catalogue, where I realize I have, hidden between the haze, a number of unique stories with decades of images as a starting point. Thanks to Dan, I dumped 90% of my lenses and now NEVER leave home with more than the lens that on my camera, which 99% of the time, is a 50mm. Now to narrow down all the ideas i have, and start working..............

Even a gold mine like this can get a dislike... I'll never understand that.

I've been thinking about Instagram and other "like" based social, when it comes to my work, and I've found it's sucked the life from work. Social is about "pretty." It's not about depth. It's about dazzling the eye within the first second as it scrolls across their feed. For me, I'm breaking away from that desire for likes. I've stopped posting.

I find it useful in a "where I am/going" kind of way, but thanks to Daniel, I avoid the "what I did/am doing" side of things.

I love this channel and the content. Followed it a few years back to learn the ropes when I was starting out and so glad to have rediscovered AYP. Sound advice from credible people targeted at those of us who aspire to be authentic in our aproach to taking photos, as opposed to those simply seeking followers and likes with cliched and fad based output. Thanks.

Nobody cares about your photography. Well said. The insights Dan is telling are incredible. Eye opener for me. Expecting more of such brilliant conversations. Thanks.

Very good points and I understand point two. Still my project is to document my lost past for the generations not yet born, so even I share my images on Wikimedia they will anyway not see them, as they are not yet born. I don't wont to make an impact on people living today, as they're not worth it, as they blew everything up. I photograph to inspire future generations, those poor people who have to fix the mess we brought them into.
