I saw this title and I just had to quick comment put my two cents in for whatever it might not be worth. Worked in the operating room for 20 years. Many c-sections were involved. I also worked in labor and delivery. From my observation and multiple nurses that I worked with. If you don't want to C-section don't let them give you pitocin and don't get an induction. Soon as they start ramping up the pit forcing your body to do things it's not ready it's almost a sealed deal that you will have a C-section. The doctors are impatient the staff is impatient nobody wants to do a C-section after hours. People have things they want to do after work. People especially don't want to come in in the middle of the night. My suggestion is to everybody and being a person who's on baby number for herself Wait the longest possible till you actually arrive to the hospital. Closest time possible to actual delivery so that there's less interventions put in place and if you can't avoid the hospital all together women have been having babies for thousands of years. It is not a medical emergency although one in I don't know how many thousands might actually be a real emergency. I've only seen one in 20 years maybe two tops. There was an actual emergency and not just dramatized.

This video is a blessing for me. My sister and mom keep pressuring me that “I’ll need a c section because we had C sections and big heads are in our family” and it’s fine and all but with research and experience with my own body , I’ve always felt like that I can completely avoid it especially knowing my baby is very healthy in the womb right now. I know my body very well and I rather have my baby come naturally because our bodies know what to do more than what we give them credit for. Thank you for speaking up about this. I decided to have both of my babies at home, because I see more clearly than most women how pretty much evil that whole system is. Once you're under their control, they'll manipulate you in those very vulnerable moments, and it's about their agenda, sadly, not mamas or babies. Truly, only a very small % of births actually need to be done through surgery. Most women have no idea how much power they give up. I felt that power during both my amazing births.

I was induced with my daughter 13 years ago, and because I had an epidural I had to get an emergency c section. They even used a forcep to attempt to pull her while pushing and caused damage at the top of her head. I am pregnant with my second and I am going to do a scheduled c section because my last experience was quite traumatic. I am willing to go through the recovery of a c section Vs possibly putting myself through that same trauma like before. Everyone’s experience is different and everyone recovers differently.

My only advice is to refuse any paralyzing drugs seriously the side effects such as your blood pressure and therefore babies heart rate to drop and since they’re monitoring everything then it’s an emergency c section don’t take any medication that way you can move off the bed or just continue to labor at home if they try to take you back for one lol.

I've had to be induced twice. I hate being induced but it was medically necessary. Both times I was able to have them naturally, without pain meds, though the labors were definitely harder than my out of hospital birth. They and I were both fine. @gorigirlgoestodhaka

Keep in mind that the weight estimates are notoriously inaccurate... You are most likely more than capable of birthing even a large baby vaginally and keep the section for it's intended use - for real emergencies... The doctors are so well practiced in c-sections that there is probably no difference in outcome to planned v emergency section.

Why would you ignore a dropping heart rate ? 😮
@moodyncamerashy119
4 ай бұрын
Because baby’s heart rate will fluctuate during labor normally. Especially when mom is moving and changing positions and as the uterus contracts and relaxes. Imagine if you were in a sac and it was squeezing your whole body then relaxing from your entire body. That would cause your heart rate to fluctuate.

We would never ignore a dropping HR but it usually comes back up. Contractions can cause a slight drop sometimes and when we get closer to pushing it can do the same thing. Our worry happens when it doesn’t come back up or if we don’t address the drop and change the potential reason that could be causing the drop.
